Topic: black girls and white guys | |
---|---|
I was brought up with the notion that all human beings are the same, and that what is underneath the skin, matters waaaaay more than skin colour itself.
however, where I am from, it seems rather rare for a white guy to be more than just friends with a black girl, why is that? are we weird, intimidating or what? |

Dating and ****ing is Kool, but personally I don't think it's a good idea, but to each its own. If any man, no matter his race; claims to be scared of approaching women for fear that they maybe aggressive--his just a weak man. Most white men may not prefer black women, which has nothing to do with aggressive black women. If you like white men, try to get one-they easy like any other man.
Depending on how you want "em". Lol |

It would be helpful if black women could openly signal that they'd date white men without the former being harassed by other black women for wanting to date white men. Racism works both ways, ya know. |

I agree with your assessment... it's not the color of your skin, but the quality of your character. Black is beautiful.

I agree I don't see many white men with black women. Being a white guy I don't understand it either, as a race I don't think black women are any more or less physically attractive then any other race of women.

Racism works both ways, ya know. That is a good point, but if your gonna date outside your race your gonna have to deal with some racism no matter which race you are or which race you choose to date. I'm sure a black women dating a white man may think about how the people he is gonna introduce her too are gonna react. Some people don't have a filter |

Doesn't seem to stop black guys from dating white women. To me I think there is a rather large double standard here.
But I agree with the OP, people are people no matter the skin tone. I keep my options open and judge based on character. |

Some people don't have a filter People afraid from from neighbors opinion, from family, friends, society...not only fear to introduce another race- we have other reasons with same race as reputation, status, background. Not everyone has a gut to go against society, opinion. So it's not about the skin color but preference and fear |

Who cares what anyone thinks its my life.If I met a woman of color who nice, sweet, and treats me good thats what I'm after so I would have no problem with it. I work in a tourist resort and see it all the time. If you truly love someone then you see into their heart not their race. I have dated a few black women I didn't find them any different than any other women I dated. JMO

Not about dating different wage classes within the same race. So that is why I answered the way I did... |

Black women rock.
I hate prejudice but I am guilty of it because I cant stand uneducated blind hatred, that and white trash. So girls bring it on -...... |

Culture, peer pressure, history, politics, ... things are a little different everywhere. Here in the US it is not a big deal.

I think maturity and experience contribute to confidence
guys have enough pressure with potential disappointment every time they approach ANY female, I think many are just too unsure of their chances in an interracial situation to step up and try in high school, when I was definitely my cutest(lol), I was never approached by white males,, but once I was out in the adult world, working and meeting a more diverse community of people,,,, and once I was actually seen the FIRST time in an interracial coupling,,, the flood doors flew open,,lol males have a lot of pressure, its no surprise to me that they may be cautious to raise the risk by attempting what they may believe others will think is 'taboo', and there is the added stereotype of the loud and embarrassing black female for them to fear too as for black males, I think that has been seen so often in the sports industry that there is possibly not quite as often to be a heightened fear of rejection , and there is the stereotype of the timid, accepting white female to help them with their confidence too,, just theories though, every male is unique and has their own reasons,,, |
