I thought that a Witch was a female using a broom and the male version was a man who could fly just so without broom?
So what's the difference between: Voodoo, Witchcraft, Occultism, Black magic, High science, Druidism, Obeah etc etc? |

True witchcraft is neither black or white, its both. Also, the broom is really only used for handfastings and certain spells.. (wiccan weddings) where you "jump the broom" kinda how the jewish tradition smashes a whine glass... its just one of our little things. |

Well I am afraid of Withches etc BECAUSE I believe they are dealing with the Devil. and the Devil is a Supernatural being that I cannot battle with and a person's dealing with him could cause demons to HAUNT ME OR THE HOUSE in which we dwell.
Only God can save me from him, with much prayers and commandment keeping where one of the commandments is to stay AWAY from ANY path that even SEEMS to lead to the Devil. Could You clarify? |

Could You clarify? ______________________________- There is NO devil in Wicca.. at all period. We believe there are evils spirits... like in human form. They tend to come up in the most unlikely of places.. CHURCHES, schools, government, ect. I'm not saying that all of those people are evil.. but alot are. Wicca is a religion, just like any other. I am not going to sit here and put you down for not knowing anything about mine. Here's a deal for ya, I've read your book, now go read one of mine. |

The only reason one would believe wicca, witchcraft, druidism, or any of the earth based religions are "of the devil" is due to a, have the belief that the christian mythos is the only one out there, and b, choose not to educate oneself to find out any different. I find it interesting that those who label witchcraft and the earth based Goddess friendly religions "of the devil" seem to have no problem with buddism, hinduism or any other of the major alternatives to christianity, in the very least they get labeled "of the devil". I'm not here to start an argument, or offend, however, I feel that in the very least if your going to put a label on my religion, and least do so with an educated look at that religion, whatever it may be.

oops... I meant to say "...in the very least they DON'T get labeled "of the devel"..."
Thank you Jayme for piping in with some intelligence on the subject. |

I wish I could say that insomnia had me, unfortunately because of people calling in all last weekend I got way behind in my college work and spent the last two days catching up. 6 energy pills (before anybody gets excited, I'm talking over the counter legal **** here), and countless 44 oz Mt Dews later I finally caught up last night sometime.
