It is that time of the year when people start talking about being kissed under the mistletoe. This got me thinking about how many people have actually been kissed under a mistletoe. I have never been kissed under mistletoe.
My question(s) to you is have you ever been kissed under the mistletoe? If yes, where were you and what other thoughts did you have about it? |

Just out of curiosity, how long ago was this? I have actually never been to a party with mistletoe. Are they still common or a thing of the past? |

I bought mistletoe 2, 3 years ago. First time I ever saw it in Holland. It's not a Dutch tradition either. But I thought it was funny, bought it and put it up. And yes, kissed under it too.
If I remember correctly, some other couples did too when they visited. Not cos they recognized it, it's not really known at all over here, but because me or my then partner pointed it out to them. Just a bit of fun :) Not sure, but isn't it originally an English tradition?? |

It is certainly common in Texas. It was everywhere when I was kid. Nowadays, I just kiss every woman who will let me all year.

I have never seen mistletoe hung much less been kissed under it. I would imagine it is one of those customs just slowly falling out of favor in many places much like the holiday as I used to know it itself.
