Liar in Chief addressing the nation about the Iran nuclear deal. Photo: White House. “For the first time in nearly a decade we have halted parts of Iran’s nuclear program” announced a jubilant Barack Obama after the news of the just-signed Geneva six-month interim agreement with Iran. But the American goal for the accord was that the Iranians not “advance their program” of building a uranium nuclear bomb (and perhaps a plutonium bomb too); the apparent deal exactly permits such advancement, plus sanctions relief to Tehran worth about US$9 billion. This wretched deal offers one occasion when comparison with Neville Chamberlain in Munich in 1938 is valid. An overeager Western government, blind to the evil cunning of the regime it so much wants to work with, appeases it with concessions that will come back to haunt it. Geneva and Nov. 24 will be remembered along with Munich and Sep. 29. Barack Obama has made many foreign policy errors in the past five years, but this is the first to rank as a disaster. Along with the health care law, it is one of his worst-ever steps. John Kerry is a too-eager puppy looking for a deal at any price. With the U.S. government forfeiting its leadership role, the Israelis, Saudis, and perhaps others are left to cope with a bad situation made worse. War has now become a much more likely prospect. Shame on we Americans for re-electing Barack Obama. This article was originally published by the National Review Online. |

Iran is simply biding time to finish their bomb project. Nothing they said can be believed ....
Hmmm .... sounds like someone else. |

http://www.humanevents.com/2012/01/19/day-after-iran-tests-the-bomb/
Day after Iran tests the bomb Iran will become an atomic weapons state because it already has the raw materials, technology, the ambition, and no single or group of nations is willing to do what is necessary to deny that outcome. Atomic weapons in the hands of the radical Islamic Republic of Iran has been unacceptable to both the Bush and Obama Administrations and most of our allies, especially Israel which considers the proposition an existential threat. Our unacceptable policy translated into half measures weak sanctions, covert action, and military threats to persuade Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions. But only two alternatives will stop Iran's atomic weapons program: a popular uprising that installs a government which abandons atomic arms and foreign invasion. Neither alternative is likely which is why it is time to prepare for the day after Iran tests the bomb. Before considering the day after it is helpful to appreciate Tehran's bizarre motivation for atomic weapons, its hurried-up nuclear arms program, and why our half measures will inevitably fail. First, the Islamic Republic of Iran is ruled by clerics and devout Shiites who hate the West and is driven by an apocalyptic branch of Islam that believes its duty is to begin world war that brings the return of their Mahdi (messiah) an Imam so powerful he will bring the world under Islamic rule. An atomic bomb is Iran's war trigger. Two things are becoming obvious regarding Iran's atomic quest. The U.S. has neither the will nor the international support to topple the regime and an Arab Spring-like Iranian revolution doesn't appear likely either. What does appear likely is the grudging acceptance of an atomic armed Tehran, and a radically changed Middle East. more at the Link! |

"My fellow Americans......." Iran had always been friendly to the US actually, an ally.... well... up until we (the CIAl Qaeda) ousted their democratically elected leader and forced the Shah on them who persecuted and robbed them in 1953.... but as for Israel...... Well.... that little slice of heaven will make one hell of a parking lot with a view. Nuttyahoo is no better for Israel than Barry is for the USA. The poor Israeli and Iranian people are the ones I pity. It will be they who pay for the bad policies of our leaders in the end. Face it, we're letting lawyers and bankers run the world......what should one expect? I have mixed opinions on Iran and their intentions, they are not as easy a call as N Korea is..... but as for Barry, if it makes sense to him it is probably bad for America....as all of his policies have proven to be. |

Wow! All I'm saying is that people need to differentiate between the people of a country and its leaders. The USA has little to fear from Iran, but Israel is another story. If Iran is attacked by Israel, it will go nuclear....mark my words! Nutty Buddy won't fight a clean fight as long as he has nukes, he's badly outnumbered, and big bro US may not be able defend Israel if he uses them without going against the rest of the world. Using nukes to stop someone from getting nukes....that's ME logic..... as bad as liberal logic. |

I don't condemn your belief, just the rationale |

Israel is a sovereign nation that is not going anywhere and has every right to protect itself. |

If Iran gets the bomb, I would expect them to launch it at Israel or haul it in on a donkey cart.
I would expect one to be loaded on a small boat and head for New York city too! |

The Lord established her...and He is her Preserver. BTW..... ask any theologian.... the Nation of Israel is its people. It was never about a piece of real estate. All biblical references talk about the "children of the earth" and "the holy land" as a whole, but not any deed or claim to a peninsula in the ME. They were slaves, delivered from bondage, homeless, so the wisest among them might consider a bomb shelter so they can fulfill any prophecy you may believe. Landscape can be destroyed easily, so thinking that the land they inhabit is somehow immune to destruction..... that's just illogical. |

Her leaders have in the past made some compromises (for instance land for peace). No mere man is perfect. But Netanyahu is an intelligent and wise individual. He is not irrational, but is a clear thinker. |

What he is doing to the people in his country (Palestinians are people too) whether he agrees with their politics and religion or not, is not the actions of a sane or intelligent person. It is pure and simple cruelty promoting a hateful agenda. You don't condemn a race of people for the actions of a few they don't have any control over. |

Wow so many neo-cons and right wing fanatics, is diplomacy without violence so alien a concept for you? Maybe you should switch to decaf for awhile. Even Israel calculated the caloric intake needs for Gaza before blockading it. This is an Obama promise for diplomacy and you elected him twice. I am sure our soldiers are glad for a little rest and not being in Libya, Syria, etc
