Topic: Another "x people viewed your profile" bug

I just got an email saying 2 people viewed since my last visit, which was only a few days ago. But the linked-to page says no one has viewed in the past 30 days.

Still broken. I just got a new email, saying 3 people have viewed. On checking, though, it shows only 1.

Thanks for your patience, dpmingle. We haven't been able to duplicate this behavior yet, but we are being exhaustive in our testing. If it is happening, we suspect it's due to email delays (i.e., email providers throttling offsite M2 emails) or because of accounts which deactivate or are banned after viewing. If we're able to duplicate it, we'll certainly bug and address it. We'll let certain glitches slide, but this area requires accuracy.

I got only one view that didn't link to a profile, but it does happen.

We can try changing your account's registered email address to one of ours, unless our developers have any novel ideas right now. We haven't had any success duplicating this using our handful of test accounts.

OK by me, although I don't see what that would accomplish that can't be done more easily by my forwarding the emails to whoever needs to see them.

Sounds good. The temporary change has been made and we will monitor the situation. EDIT: dpmingle was correct in his conclusion, as we just verified the bug, It might only happen to certain accounts with certain settings, but we are working to find the solution right now.
