I've spent most of my career as a civilian at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Now, I work freelance as a consultant. That leaves me the spare time I've wanted, and I enjoy my life and work, but I'd like a significant other to share and enjoy things with. I'm seeking a committed relationship with a woman whose mind and company I enjoy and vice versa. If I get a good friendship instead, that's fine. If there's an attraction that develops into something more, that's better! Favorite films (a sample - no special order): Get on Up, Her, Fargo, Ed Wood, Unforgiven, The Sixth Sense, Last of the Mohicans, Raising Arizona, Fried Green Tomatoes, Tender Mercies, Apocolypse Now, Repo Man, Lilies of the Field. Music: Hard rock and related genres, mainly; blues, jazz, bluegrass, and classical sometimes. Painters: I like what I'll call "abstract" best. Kandinsky's my favorite, but I also like many works by Miro and some others by Klee, Rousseau, Picasso, Dali, Van Gogh, and Klimt. Sports: Zero interest in watching team sports. I enjoy watching downhill skiing, tennis, or 9-ball on TV occasionally, but would rather go do them with you. And it's ok if you're better at it than I am. Outdoor activities: Never been camping, but might try it. Or hiking, fishing, or whatever if it matters to you. Be careful though -- that's how I got hooked on skiing! Sense of humor: The understated type is my favorite. For example: "The report of my death was an exaggeration." (Mark Twain). I don't like racist, sexist, or bathroom humor or vulgarity in general.
