Yes of course there is true love, those who do not believe in it has not yet found it, but my grandfather and grandmother were truely in love, they were together forever, my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and ended up not remembering anything or anybody, except one person, my grandfather had to put her in a home because she would keep getting out of the house and in the middle of the 4 lane highway in front of their home, but he would visit her everyday, when me and my dad, mom, brothers and sisters visit she didnt know who we were, but when she saw my grandfather enter the building she would stand up and shout "THATS MY HUSBAND EVERYONE" ..she said it everytime he came to visit her :) ... sadly she passed away last year, in all my years i have never seen my grandfather cry until that day Man im crying now this is exactly what i want. |

Do u think there is true love? Absolutely... |

Yes, I do. And I also think it depends on what your definition of "true love" is, most people think it's hearts and flowers and nothing is ever messy and you're together forever, blah blah blah. I think it's more than that, because life is messy. True love is accepting another person, no matter what, in spite of their flaws and understanding them, and being willing to forgive and compromise. Some people have it, some people don't, but yeah, it exists. True love does exist! It is MUCH MORE than the heart beating faster... the can't wait to see them... the ultimate passion... For the grandparents and other true loves described in this thread, do you think they felt that every single day? Of course not! I believe true love can develop from all that but only if you can see the person realistically with all their characteristics both good and bad and still wish to be their number one cheerleader through life, no matter what life brings. Unconditional love... absolutely... no doubt about it! From the above, how to keep "the love" alive? Well that's another thread entirely! TeeHee!! |

Yes there is and some are lucky to experience it
no seriously there is no true love
absolutely, but it is not instant and it wanes in and out, and it doesn't maintain itself without real EFFORT and COMMITMENT on both parts,,,
which doesn't mix well with a culture that has come to expect instant and constant gratification,,,,there are 'too many fish' so to speak for people to fathom sticking about during less gratifying times,,, |
