i think it exists because most of us have felt it. that spaghetti feeling in your chest that you get from a mere thought of someone,that gets you all flushed like you just got the best kiss ever, thats love. what destroys its trueness is that we each head into relationships with expectations(even when they aren't there,time will make em appear), with an idea of how we want and deserve to be loved. some have been lucky to get such but others like myself have been disappointed. we head into relationships with heavy baggages from our pasts that end up interferring with what we should be experiencing,sometimes the drama comes from our partners' end,but that doesn't mean true love doesn't exist. it exists just as the moments we made other ppl our priorities,when their very smiles made our days,when u found your hearts beating in tune to one another,you might have loved more...but what you felt was true...

Up until I met my late husband I have to admit at times I had my doubts.

I saw a lot of lip service about love and heard a lot of I Love You's thrown around by folks but until I actually lived it I am not sure I was convinced that a human being was capable of it. Yea your kids love you because that is born into them.

If you are lucky enough and maybe stubborn enough to keep your heart open to it eventually someone will fall into it. They will like you as a person, lust for you as a normal sexual being, but they will also genuinely care for you and desperately want you to feel that way about them.

Will they sometimes get tired, frusterated, moody, jealouse, or discouraged yea you can smoother anything if you abuse or neglect it long enough. Generally if someone really loves you they will put up some kind of fight to keep it before it gets too far along.

I do know if it is true love it leaves a hole in you when it is gone. And while you may be able to love another for who they are you are not replacing the love you lost ever.

You know I was tryin hard here to keep me mouth on hold but it's not easy bein Irish .... I met a man, and he was the first man who the more time I spent with him the more I wanted to spend with him. When he was away from me something was missing. We got married and I didn't think I could love him more than I did that day. Until I saw him with our first child. I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with this most amazing man who felt the exact same way about me. No other man existed in my eyes, we were soul mates in every way. Then I found out I was pregnant with our second child. He started to change, money started disappearing, he was angry all the time, or very distant. Turned out he was smoking meth. Destroyed who he was and what we had. He is sober now, but not the person I fell in love with. So long story short, yes, I believe in true love, but people change, things change. I don't think I will ever find it again, but one can hope.

I believe in true love but in the society of today, it's hard trusting people because sometimes it's just a game. Men AND women can be so insecure and I believe when two confident people who know their goals in life meet, a real connection can be made. Love isn't always easy so it's easy to give up on someone and hurt them to make yourself feel better.

Love is out there.
It's just hard to see with the increasing amount of divorces and infidelity. It's simple. If your with someone, you're with them.
