Thanks for all the encouraging words and caring! Its just what I was needing. I will tell you from personal advice that once you become cold; there is no going back as that is where I am in life. I had this reading done about me and it is true. "The underlying cause of your problem is an inner persona which has closed off its feelings. You have curled up like a hedgehog, built a wall around your feelings ("a shell"), and now your reactions are cold and distant. The task is to take responsibility for your hardness instead of attributing it to the world." Its too late for me to change but my advice is be careful of the path you choose. I think you can go back..I have been there once myself and feel it coming back these days but I keep telling myself not too. It is a struggle but you have to fight it and think positive. |

Don't get me wrong; I am sure there are decent divorced men out there but I seem to keep meeting the wrong ones. Luck of the draw I guess. I agree though that no matter what; we all need to just enjoy life. I had a hoot today doing the Zombie walk and made some new friends. |

Hi navygirl,
Not true, I had closed my heart and feelings for 25 years, and denied access to it. I maintained that when I fell in love it would be forever, but my ex wife denied me of that. I used to have my own descent chat forum and a lady somehow some way found a way in to my heart, and I don't know how she did it. Then after I fell in love with her, she pulled the rug right out from under my feet and left. I was devastated... I have denied myself opportunities to love again for that number of years and realise that I shouldn't have, because it is all that I ever wanted in life above all. You must give people a chance. I know how you feel to the best of my assumptions, but please do not cut yourself off as I did, you are younger than me, and have a lovely photo, don't deny yourself happiness, it's what we are all about.

I can empathize.
Do not stop caring. The world would be a lesser place, and like you said, it seems these days it's getting harder and colder out there so we really can't afford to lose another sweet person to the dark side. Us caring folk are a shrinking lot. We need you Cali! Don't go!   
But seriously. If you were cold, you'd never be able to enjoy those beautiful kids you have that love you so much. Or love anyone ever again. Or appreciate anything of value, and I'm not talking monetary value. You wouldn't be able to live with yourself. You're sweet. Stay sweet and caring. It suits you well.
