Topic: my conclusion maybe the dumbest... | |
---|---|
all this political issues we like to argue so passionately. are in this world to make richer the rich and make poorer the poor people. Moreover, try to kill the middle class.
We argue one each other here when people in Washington D.C. are making loads of money. Meanwhile, people in Africa are starving. My dumbest conclusion: "It all comes down to money." Greetings from Seminole Community College, Florida. |

Happy Birthday Miguel!
Are you saying that we should not discuss these issues because we can do nothing about them? From your Bible (Jesus said): "the poor will be with us always", Does that mean aiding the poor is in vain? Or even discussing the issue to try to come up with better ways of helping people? |

"but are we actually doing something practical?
in our dayly life" I don't know. Some people undoubtedly are, even voting- choosing the leaders that you think will make the wisest choices to do the most good- is that not "doing something"? I think even talking is worthwhile... it may generate an idea or spark a desire in someone to do something, no matter how small. But then I'm crazily optimistic about the ability people have to care for one another... |

The rule is simple about money.
Those who have the most money make the rules. |
Hiker...would you want the poor...who can't even manage their own lives or finances to make the rules?

here is what the "elite" think about the poor in this country....I almost fell over when I read this
"In our dream, we have limitless resources, and the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hand. The present educational conventions fade from our minds, and unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive folk. We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or science. We are not to raise up from among them authors, orators, poets, or men of letters. We shall not search for embryo great artists, painters, musciians. Nor will we cherish even the humbler ambition to raise up from among them lawyers, doctors, preachers, politicians, statesmen, of whom we now have ample supply. Rockefellor Foundation Director of Charity Advisor to John Rockefellor Frederick Gates, 1913. or Ann Rand from Atlas Shrugged...”when you see that the trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing- when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors- when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws dont protect you against them, but protect them against you- when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self sacrifice- you may know that your society is doomed....Ann Rand 1905-1982 |

Do we as individuals, trade hours for dollars, or dollars for dollars, or hours for hours?
Where do we fit in the economic food chain? And do we want to? Interesting thread Miguel, and Happy Birthday dear bro.. |

Adj4....I was making a point...your statement
'that is one of the most prejudice across the board remarks i have seen in a long time " has no truth or objectivity. If you knew me...I'm probably the most anti-prejudice person you would ever meet....I am by no means an elistist, but a realist. In reality, we all elect are officials and they are very successful in what ever their profession might be...lawyers, doctors, economists, business men. Ask your self a "real" question, if someone who was a bum on the street running against a successful Economist or businessman...would you really think the poor bum would be able to steer our countries economy, and policies in the right direction? Be honest...don't give me "he do better then Bush" routine. |

obviously you have not checked the background of those that hold office in congress
you really do need to do more research before you make broad brush comments and whether you are prejudice or not is irrelevant to the statement i made what i said was "that is one of the most prejudice across the board remarks i have seen in a long time" now if you take calling that statement prejudice the same as calling you prejudice then maybe you should reevaluate your thoughts on prejudice |
the point of discussing things.....is to be aware!!!
ok...what I want to know is...
If our country is so much in debt...why dont we make more of it at the mints to get ourselves out of debt, and to help more poor people? wouldnt that make sense? |
