Your narrative is a little hard to follow but I think that I get the jist of it. Your girlfriend sounds like one of those people that tries to keep everyone happy. She doesn't want to fall out with her best friend about this but you want this arsehole to stay away from her. It's a tough one because if you tell her who she can and can't hang about with that makes you a control freak. You are taking this guy seriously and even though you say that she's fine with it, you don't want him upsetting her.
