Ok so we have all seen the why no picture topics MANY times.
Let's flip it...what about those with "real" pictures.

How does one know it's a recent picture or even a picture of you (not stolen)

The only ways to prove this is:

1. Agree to meet them in person (by then you might find out the hard way)

2. Video chat. Of course this would mean giving out your contact information


So in a venue like this, how real is real? IMO it isn't any different than a cartoon or no pictures. In other words, talking in the forums, people can't PROVE it's really them.

It is hard and there is no way to know for sure. So many people on dating lines complain of how people misrepresent themelves

well I update my pictures alot but still throw an older one on now & then if I like it....not more than a few yrs old. My current photos were all taken this winter shortly after Christmas.

So I tend to assume the same of everyone....WRONG

I met up with a guy once who totally looked NOTHING - not even in a small way - like his picture. In fact that happened to me twice...lol. also I think that's why some avoid meet ups...hiding something. I won;t give out personal info to anybody unless I know them pretty well. I'm on FB with Luis and a few others so for the regular long timers it 's pretty easy to see that I am who I yam :)

Also, you could ask the person to write down what you say, on a piece of cardboard or paper. So that when they hold it up for the camera, you will see if that photo really is how they look right now. A good job that I'm not afraid of aging. If a guy doesn't like what he see's, he can move on. I'm never going to go get plastic surgery just because a guy happens to not like my face. Some millionaire dude, once offered to pay for me to get bigger breast's, and I wasn't even dating him. I told him to stick his offer up his backside. . Another example of someone trying to change someone else. I couldn't talk to him anymore after that. It completely ruined our friendship.

It's a shame when people can't be honest just to try n meet some one .I always liked writing letters and enjoyed getting to know the person from the inside out.rather then just seeing n picture n looking at the outside in .if that makes any sense .
