In a way its good it lets us learn about each other and takes us past the shallow physical side . Do i believe it can last ? well who knows i guess anythings possible in life . not sure of my own life or what waits for me round the next corner but tomorrows just another day away .

Noooooooooooooooooo! it's terrible. it hurts not being able to actually be with the one you love. And then the enevitable "we've grown apart" line always comes up. And your left with nothing...
Had a few long distance relationships (over the net and/or one of us had to move for whatever reason) Internet is okay, but if you're together and have to part ways for whatever reason and TRY your damned hardest, everything you can to keep it together with her/s (in my case). It always ends up me drinking myself stupid 'cause of that old line mentioned above.

If it is Online only, No, it is not Love. You have to have personal contact with the man and really spend time in Person. Otherwise you have a "infatuation" Online friendship.

I am in love with a guy who lives across the pond from me, have been for a year to date July 2013.
I had to walk away. Feeling are not the makings of logistic necessities.
No matter how strongly we feel for one another finding the legal means to being in the same country are fraught with complications.
Maybe I am being naive to think that attempts to garner out all the hurdles were attempted, maybe there were answers for us we did not see.
But for me going to bed every night feeling even more alone than being single was not something after a long year I could continue doing.
The lack of physical contact for me became a major issue. when you need something so very much that your loved one has touched because you don't have him to touch, it is time for someone like me to move on. One of the wisdom's I learned is I am not someone who can do a long distance relationship. ~

The only issue with an ldr, might be how the other person's government accept immigrants into their country. Some governments are trying to stop people moving to other countries. Mainly because they just realized that they might aswell use people from their own country, to get jobs. I feel this would affect ldr's. I suppose it would depend where they're from. You'd have to do a bit of research.

Actually the truth of the matter is that long distance relatioship can be a reality by keeping in touch calling,texting etc from time to time...and both work together to make their distance a closer one and grow their love for eachother and later start a lovely family. three of my friends has meet their love online now they are husband and wife

I was in one for 4 years and it took a lot of work with traveling mind you I was always the one going to see him. Would I do it again yes if both of us are willing to put the time and effort into it I think it can work

Every man a lady meets, does not live far away. Some men live within 4 or 5 hours and that has a possibility of working out better. If long distance is across country then someone has to Move.
