Men, is it an issue for you if your woman is more successful than you are - higher position, salary, better career, etc. Women, is it an issue for you if you are more successful than your man? Would you rather be with a man who is more successful than you?

Having a girlfriend who's more successful than me doesn't bother me in the least. If anything, I feel proud of her accomplishments. I've actually only had one girlfriend that I can recall who wasn't more successful than me...
Then again, I'm a musician, so pretty much *everyone* is bound to be more successful than me :P |

i guess thats a reason for the high divorce rate... people are always looking at the wrong things when it comes to marriage...

Having grown up rich, and knowing how very worthless that is,
I prefer a man with little, that we can grow together. It always has seemed to me, if you take away a man's riches, you can see who he really is. Some are all about what they have, they cannot stand on their own. I prefer the richness of soul. The other successes are flighty, they come and go. |

I would like my guy to be as successful as me, and it wouldn't bother me if he is more successful either.
That being said...to me success is about reaching for goals and carving out the life you want; not about money or position. I'd take a poor man who aspires to live his dream over a wealthy man who's a slave to a misplaced ambition every time. |

If she can afford to buy me more horror DVDs and Blu Rays than I can, then I'm all for it.

If being more successful than me means she has more money than I do. Then at this point that wouldn't be saying much. I'm trying to make money from photography and selling stuff on ebay and both are going really slow right now. Then again I just started the photography thing. I don't suppose there are any women in the Utah area that would like to help me with this? hahaha

Ive, never had a woman that's been successful, but I did have a guy message me two night ago and propositioned me,wanting for me to be his, claiming that he's very successful, and he would bank roll my live style. so the money part didn't bother my, it was more the fact that I'm not a homosexual I'm wondering if he wanted to just sluck me, fluck me & chuck me, do men usually say and do those things? so It wouldn't bother me I think as long as I can get water out of each end, then we're good but when the tears stop or the faucet stops dripping then watch out! "success is not a destination..its a live time journey" they say a man's best earning potential is between 25 & 40 years old & they say a man is at his sexual peak at 18...lol I call BS on both...Im ready for round two! I think (((soufie))) if I man lost is money you can tell a lot about that person and their adaptability to change or face change more so to one that came from old money, now they may whither up n die. but even a man that may not longer have their job, as what we do becomes a big part of who we are, they're going through a lot! if they're human. on the other side of the coin a think it would be better to have a woman that is more successful, that one that dosent bring in an income. you know the one with the money isn't there for money. I like what Trump said in 89 when Trump plaza didn't take off, and he was into the banks for $ 700, 000, 000 then capped. "at least I got to find out who was loyal to me!" -Donald Trump) |

I made much more money than my ex did however I don't believe the actual dollar figure was an issue. The issue was a lack of drive and willingness to grow. If a person is in a dead-end job with absolutely no intention of trying to better themselves (and miserable in that job to boot) then the negativity can fester and eventually turn to resentment for both parties.
