I have a friend who can crush on a guy within 5 minutes of seeing him. She likes the way he looks, then waits for a look from him. If the look he gives her expresses the faintest hint of interest in her physical appearance...CRUSH! smitten

Now I can appreciate a nice looking man as much as the next gal, but I just can't see getting a blush on before I know he's actually worth the time I'd spend thinking about him. So, while crushes come less often for me, they are well worth it when I do....even though he never crushes back.

Do you crush easy or wait and see?

Do you still enjoy the crush while it lasts even if they don't crush back?

a crush that doesn't lead anywhere is a bummer IMO. I try and taper my expectations... But when I do take a leap and get smacked back by reality, It lingers a bit in the head so I'm less likely to take that leap on a crush.

Ella, what your friend does is nothing compared to the instant crushes that some females have when they encounter a fictional guy who is a vampire. Why do you think that the "Twilight" movie series is so popular?

I think they're still worth it...so long as the person you're crushing is worth it.

I think experiencing a crush gives us proof that possibilities exist. They remind us we still know how to feel something for someone and still want to, despite any apprehensions we may have about letting ourselves feel something tender for another. smitten *sigh*

But YOU, I gotta watch. I don't always know when you're joking or serious. I'm best off to assume joking 99.99% of the time, me thinks. tongue2

Not much of a crusher.
I really go for character.
Faithfulness.
Integrity.
They could look like Quasimoto, I probably
will not notice if they wear a shield of
honor.

So, what's the difference between maintaining a hopeless crush for someone and just not taking no for an answer?

If you do the former you are a girl.

Hey you! waving

I think you have a point to an extent as long as it remains a crush and doesn't turn dark and possessive.

There are men and women both who can take...not taking no for an answer....from crush to conquest...to obsession. Then it's a whole nother story. scared
