Bl8tant, I spent two years arguing politics with the students at the University of Utrecht. Of the students I met, I agreed with most of them on most topics. Then there were a few who would not agree on anything. If you were to find common ground they would immediately take a different position.

anoasis, i don't have a misunderstanding of muslims so can you clarify what you mean by the first paragraph on page 4 that was addressed to me?

I apologize, I re-read the first few pages and I think I was confused when you and philosopher and fanta were talking about Muslims and Philosopher wrote: "although they don't themselves blow up innocent civilians, consider it ok to do so and show it by insisting their women wear scarves over their heads or even over their whole bodies, and of course the women who show their acceptance of such behavior by acquiescing and wearing the disrespectful garb." then you wrote: "not the moral issues but alot of the customs. like philosopher mentioned with the way a lot of them expect their women to dress" Which I took to mean that you both thought ALL muslims require their wives, daughters, etc. to wear burkas. I didn't intend anything negative by it- it just seems like the media shows only extremist muslim sects and most people think that is how all muslims are.... I just misunderstood. Sorry. |

these are the ones that make you exercise!! flexibility... compromise...cooperation.... perspectives in an educational environment, sounds delightful!!! |
