I believe it did fit manslaughter

but the six chosen did not agree,, or they didn't understand manslaughter (Which is very probable considering they asked for clarification about it)

Very True...

I believe an injustice has been done here, and one that perpetuates racism.

Unless something has been presented that i'm unaware of, i do not believe skittles could be used as a deadly weapon.

Even if the boy had been under suspicion, for any reason, it is not acceptable for another citizen to adjudicate and carry out an attack.

That is why we have law enforcement. You report the matter to them, you do not take it into your own hands, unless the person violates you on your own property, or you are in fear for your life. I have never been afraid of skittles, have you?

That, folks, is law.

Murder is murder... i don't care if the boy was black, white, yellow or purple polka dotted, wrong is wrong.

You didn't watch Zimmerman's account did you?

I believe him.

According to Zimmerman, Travon Martin was not "on his way home," or traveling in a set direction. He was loitering in an area that had had some break-ins prior.

Zimmerman had a good reason to be suspicious. Zimmerman claims that Travon attacked him first. Travon did not know Zimmerman was armed, or he would not have done that.

I believe Zimmerman.

Self defense is self defense.

I am happy with the verdict.drinker

He only got out to see if he could find a street sign and address for the police.

I believe him.

Plus, He is not a big man. Travon Martin was over 6 feet tall, loitering in the rain.... very suspicious.

I accept the verdict of the six women.

Zimmerman, 'cliams' treyvon attacked him first

what I believe is treyvon was trying to find his way back to step moms house in a community where ALL THE HOMES are near identical, while also trying to stay out of rain

and this idiot felt he must be a criminal , and pursued him

until treyvon simply turned around,,(not came out of nowhere and said you got a problem) And said why are you following me

at which time I BELIEVE its more likely Z tried to detain him somehow

(when t said get off of me and where the WITNESS Testified that there was first an upright tussle),,,,

and a fight ensued T didn't need to KNOW this stranger was armed or not,, his actions leading to that point including his alleged 'looking at his pocket' was enough to put most people in fear enough for their life that this MIGHT be someone with bad intentions

just like z thought T MIGHT end up killing him with the pavement,,,

those facts are plain out WRONB

he CLAIMS he got out to find a street address, although he had ALREADY told them directions to his car

treyvon was NOT even six feet, let alone over six feet

and its sad that a boy trying to find a home and simultaneously stay out of the rain makes him a target for someone to play judge jury and executioner regarding his potential 'criminal' status,,,,

I also accept the jurys verdict as everyone had to do in the OJ trial or any other

I just don't AGREE with it,,,,

It doesn't matter what anyone believes. I believe Zimmerman.

The crimes they charged him with could never have been proven or won in court.... no matter what happened.

The trial was a waste of time and money.

Thanks for posting the links. what was said makes sense to me. Skittles is not what caused the fight it was a punch. this has been played as a poor defenseless child. Any child that can punch like that I don't consider defenseless. Yet this has been said over and over again.

HAAAAA

wow, a kid that can punch is therefore not defenseless against a man with a gun,,,

makes perfect sense to me

do you know children have caused parents broken noses accidentally before?,,,,wow,,,

what started this was the suspicious behavior of Z towards someone alone at night and lost, trying to get home before halftime

lol

someone who could not loose this stranger and was then accosted when he confronted him,,

that's what makes sense, that's whats more likely to have happened than the bs about T turning around and jumping out at z before threatening him with some expletive and sucker punching him

that doesn't even match their own witnesses testimony...lol

but it fits the stereotype of how some common thug probably would act,,,,,,

'you got a problem mf',,,'you gonna die tonight mf',,,,GIVE ME A BREAK,,,,

seeking justice for someones death is not a waste of money

its done all the time and those cases are sometimes lost and sometimes won,,,,,its not attempting to get justice that's a waste of life

more of a concern for me than a 'waste of money' if a conviction isn't achieved,,,,

Get over it.
The verdict is not guilty.

There is no way they could have found Zimmerman guilty of second degree murder.

(They didn't charge him with manslaughter.)

It was a waste of money because they didn't give the jury the choice of charging him with manslaughter.

Therefore they lost.

They insisted on making it into a media circus involving racial profiling.

wow Jeannie

the charge of manslaughter was a lesser INCLUDED offense, they could have found him guilty of a lesser INCLUDED offense

their options were:

1 guilty of second degree murder
2 guilty of manslaughter
3 not guilty
4 hung jury

that was their choice and I believe they came to the wrong conclusion,, this is a thread about opinions on the case and I am participating

,,,nothing left for anyone to do in REAL LIFE But keep moving on,, which we all are,, including me, even though I Can continue to have and post opinions about this event.../

lol, Im beginning to think you haven't watched the trial

during deliberations the jury ASKED FOR CLARIFICATION ON THE MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE

they DID have the choice,,

clarification wasn't given because the question wasn't PRECISE enough,,,,

I have better things to do than watch the entire trial.

If they did not find him guilty of any of the choices they were given, then he's NOT GUILTY.

So people shall have to get over it.
