Would you go see the new Lone Ranger Movie?
No.
Just seems like more ham salad from Depp. |
No because it looks awful from what I've seen in the trailers.
Johnny Depp's best character was and will always be Captain Jack Sparrow! I refuse to see him as any other character! Also don't throw ham salad around like that. It's very good. Especially on a bun with some chips on top. |

I enjoyed him in the first Pirates movie, but after that his whole schtick got old.
My favorite Depp performance is as Ed Wood. |

Oooooooooooooooooooooooold!

I'm interested in it simply because Gore Verbinski is directing it. I just hope it's not this decades version of Wild Wild West.

I'd go see it, like the trailers.
................................... The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, "Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see?" The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars." "What that tell you?" asked Tonto. The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, the Lord is all powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell YOU, Tonto?" "You dumber than buffalo. Someone stole tent." |

I predict people coming back from the movie and saying: "The Lone Ranger was in this?"

Also don't throw ham Rift Platin salad around like that.
It's very good. |

Almost 100% agreement except for The Tourist. he was very good in that.

I saw the old original movies of the Lone Ranger and watched the TV series as a child. I rather like the original story and would not think that another new version of trying to turn it into some cheap slap-stick comedy , something like Blazing Saddles perhaps, will go over at all. Now if Mel Brooks did it, I'd go and see it. I love his films. From what I've seen on the trailers I won't bother.Besides, it will be most likely concentrate on Tonto since Depp plays "his faithful Indian companion Tonto". Depp is and has been, unfortunately typecast with his Pirate movies, a second rate Captain Crook out of Peter Pan. Perhaps that will, should be his next movie...
