Topic: Jesus Can't Be the Messiah | |

Unless you are the sect of Chabad who is waiting for Rebbe Lubavitch to come back, a Messianic Jew is pretty much considered by Jews in the Conservative, Orthodox, Reform and Chabad camps to be a Christian. Messianic Jews themselves call themselves "messianic Jews". They reserve the label "Christian" for Gentile believers in Messiah Y'shua. Messianic Jews also embrace and practice the teachings in the Tanak. |

"The Talmud is a Rabbi's interpretation like a Christians commentary". Saying that the Talmud is written by A Rabbi is INCORRECT. It is written by MANY Jewish scholars through time. Just as the bible is not written by one person. The Talmud is not one person's account. What is so frustrating to me is that Christians just want me to accept their faith on blind faith. Jews are told to question. It is perfectly okay to, at an appropriate time, get into it with your Rabbi about your thoughts on Judaism, God, the universe, etc. In fact, it's encouraged. To convert to Judaism, takes years of study and ceremonies and you are not just allowed in. You have to know your stuff to some degree. Some sects of Christianity, not all, just require you to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. I think this does a disservice to those who are true Christians because those who do not study are given the same credence and allowed to go around espousing that they are Christians and what they think Christian beliefs are whether or not they are correct. |

As there is no secular or historical evidence for the existence of Jesus- and those that many try to use as proof, can easily be demonstrated as forgeries and falsifications, such as, the addition of references to Jesus in Flavius Joseph, which were not in the original- many Jews this story to be a retelling of the life of the Teacher of Righteousness who lived during the Maccabee era, as the stories are so similar

C. Torah Observance The Messiah will lead the Jewish people to full Torah observance. The Torah states that all mitzvot remain binding forever, and anyone coming to change the Torah is immediately identified as a false prophet. (Deut. 13:1-4) Throughout the New Testament, Jesus contradicts the Torah and states that its commandments are no longer applicable. For example, John 9:14 records that Jesus made a paste in violation of Shabbat, which caused the Pharisees to say (verse 16), "He does not observe Shabbat!" Go ask a Rabbi if this article is true why they would let a False Prophet have...? Jesus was a Jew I have always understood that Jesus was, first and foremost, a Jew. Far from his being non-observant, he made it clear he had not come to bypass the law and the prophets. After his death, the first Christian church was based in Jerusalem under his brother James, and all its members were observant Jews. They only dispersed after AD 70. It was Paul who introduced all the nonsense about Jesus being God, one third of a Trinity, being resurrected and so on. Understood properly, Jesus plays an IMPORTANT role in 2nd-temple Judaism, while the larger role is based on a fiction that became Christianity. Now why would the Jews allow a FALSE PROHET who is to be stoned a.. "plays an IMPORTANT role in 2nd-temple Judaism" Which is he a False Prophet or a Prophet? another thing anyone who has ever dealt with Jews how many times have you seen them write God as G-D? Ask this person why Observant jews do this yet he does not? Ask him why they use G-d? I think we found our false Prophet!!!! Explain yourself why Paul the Globalist? If you can? Listen to today's Preachers! Paul This,Paul That! Today's Christianity is Paul's Construct! I know all about the WWCG. I lasted 9 months before I had to hit the road and they are nothing like they were before the 90's they lost after Herb died which he made things up as u go like.. if u were divorced u could not remarry and 1000's of people this affected.. then in the late 70's early 80's he had a revelation that u could remarry. Why? he wanted to remarry and so it goes blindly.. That's a false prophet and now their are splinter groups all over the place claiming the other is heresy. they won't even let their members talk with me. or they will be disfellowshipped.. This is so wrong.. Is their ministers so afraid of someone who has never been to a school for religion such a threat to their memberships? Paul was a chosen vessel by Yahshua. He was at Stephens stoning in Acts 7 then in Acts 9 he is struck blind for 3 days and has a change of heart. like he died and rose again u could say. Paul replaced who was chosen to take judas place at the end of Acts 1 before the coming of the Holy Spirit on all of them in Acts 2. It was very hard for the Disciples to have anything to do with them He helped stone Stephen for saying the Holy name Yahweh. It says at the end of acts 7 they held their ears and rushed him and killed Stephen. The only reason they would hold their ears was because of what I have said before the name of Yahweh was to Holy to speak. the main word the jews use for Yahweh is Hashem which mean the Name.. Christians YHWH was replaced by the four letters LORD over 6900 times in the OT alone. If Moshe and the prophets ect recorded this over 6900 times more than any word or name in the OT don't u think Yahweh's name is important? Paul when blinded could not explain away this and he was 1 of the foremost Jews condemning Yahshua and now he is Praising him.. Wait a minute whats going on.. The ones who were with him and were blinded but could hear Yahshua speak from the heavens was the only reason the Disciples accepted Paul. In the mouths of 2 or 3 witnesses let everything be established. Kind of like when u r accused of a crime.. 1 witness is not really enough .. has to be DNA or another witness at least. No different than today. After this many do not realize but in Galations 1 it says before Paul went back to Jerusalem he went to the desert and learned for 3 years.. Where did Yahshua go as soon as the Spirit of Life lighted on him as a Dove of Peace? TO THE DESERT. He was Yahshua's Chosen vessel. Why? His Zeal got turned around against the jews. Then the Jews went after him saying he did not keep the Law of Moshe. Read what acts 21 has to say. Acts 21:17-34 17 And when we had come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly. 18 On the following day Paul went in with us to James, and all the elders were present. 19 When he had greeted them, he told in detail those things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry. 20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord. And they said to him, "You see, brother, how many myriads of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law; 21 but they have been informed about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children nor to walk according to the customs. 22 What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come. 23 Therefore do what we tell you: We have four men who have taken a vow. 24 Take them and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads, and that all may know that those things of which they were informed concerning you are nothing, but that you yourself also walk orderly and keep the law. 25 But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality." 26 Arrested in the Temple Then Paul took the men, and the next day, having been purified with them, entered the temple to announce the expiration of the days of purification, at which time an offering should be made for each one of them. 27 Now when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews from Asia, seeing him in the temple, stirred up the whole crowd and laid hands on him, 28 crying out, "Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, the law, and this place; and furthermore he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place." 29(For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.) 30 And all the city was disturbed; and the people ran together, seized Paul, and dragged him out of the temple; and immediately the doors were shut. 31 Now as they were seeking to kill him, news came to the commander of the garrison that all Jerusalem was in an uproar. 32 He immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them. And when they saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul. 33 Then the commander came near and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and he asked who he was and what he had done. 34 And some among the multitude cried one thing and some another. NKJV What Paul did and the Temple was still standing. Was end the Nazorite vow of Numbers 6 that like John the Baptist several others vowed before Yahweh to do and how/why this vow would end. Its all their from Acts 21 in Numbers 6. Paul kept the law so did all the disciples. This very reason is why Paul as a Roman citizen appealed to Ceaser and they took him to Rome because Paul was to be a vessel to the Gentiles and what more of a Pagan place to go and spread the good news than ROME!!!! It says the sayings of Paul are hard to be understood that people take them and twist them.. here was the beginning of their twisting Pauls work. Paul went to the Gentiles and Peter went to the Jews until he got his mind changed in Acts 10 and 11. Paul never broke the law porpusely |

I am a Yahwist. because of faith I have by chance run into some of the formost Jews of the world. These men respect what I have to say. Why? Because I do my best to uphold the Torah. Ever heard of Hellel? all Jews have. whats funny is this Rabbi they hold so dear more than Josephus has the same name as a character in IsaYah 14:12 Yet its been hidden from the scriptures.. look that name up in a concordance and see what the Hebrew says. You are right about Blind Faith.. You probally won't find any believers such as me and my brethren in the Faith that welcome all questions. During the Feast of Unleaven bread which starts the day after Passover for 7 days we all come together welcome anyone to come in and we look at what we believe with no questioning left without an answer.. If we do we search and search until many come to the same conclusion and then write about it in Magazines we have and booklets and asking anyone who see's this differently to please let us know. My people are destroyed for lack of Knowledge. we must have witnesses to prove the point.. Their is safety in numbers and our Safety is in Messiah Yahshua |

Paul never broke the law porpusely Paul wrote nothing himself.. He had a scribe with him to record everything and that scribe was Barnabus This is hair-splitting to the extreme whats the hair splitting? I want all of u to know how what u might say one of the biggest revivals we ever have had and now the largest population of us where it is.. In the Phillipines. We had many people write and ask for ministers to come their and teach them.. now FYI this is done on the ministers dime almost all the time.. they do not get paid but a couple of them and its like minimum wage. a minister was over their and the word of us was spreading in Manilla. a world renown Christian minister was their at the same time and had heard of us and challenged our minister to a debate on a live radio station.. Barnabus does have a book attributed to him that is in the lost books of the bible you hear so much about that was not included in the canon of the Bible we have today.
I have read it and one thing struck me is how he related the Serpent on the Pole who when the Israelites looked upon it they were not bitten anymore.. You can see it I believe in the AMA symbols and I think it is on every hospital that u walk into for all to see. symbolizing healing. he referenced this to Yahshua when he was being impaled that forever more when you looked to Yahshua that you would be healed of what Yahweh seen fit that u needed. and now it symbolizes healing.. I found that really cool |

As there is no secular or historical evidence for the existence of Jesus- and those that many try to use as proof, can easily be demonstrated as forgeries and falsifications, such as, the addition of references to Jesus in Flavius Joseph, which were not in the original- many Jews this story to be a retelling of the life of the Teacher of Righteousness who lived during the Maccabee era, as the stories are so similar The writings of the New Testament which date back to the first century and the writings of the Apostolic father's and the absence of any documents denying the existence of Jesus is pretty strong evidence of His existence. Manuscript evidence or superior New estament reliability
by Matt Slick The New Testament is constantly under attack nd its reliability and accuracy are often ontested by critics. But, if the critics want to isregard the New Testament, then they must lso disregard other ancient writings by Plato, ristotle, and Homer. This is because the New estament documents are better-preserved and ore numerous than any other ancient ritings. Because they are so numerous, they an be cross checked for accuracy... and they re very consistent. here are presently 5,686 Greek manuscripts in xistence today for the New Testament. If we ere to compare the number of New estament manuscripts to other ancient ritings, we find that the New Testament anuscripts far outweigh the others in uantity. Author Date Written Earliest Copy Approxim between Lucretius died 55 or 53 B.C. 1100 yrs Pliny 61-113 A.D. 850 A.D. 750 yrs Plato 427-347 B.C. 900 A.D. 1200 yrs Demosthenes 4th Cent. (50-100 A.D. 2nd Cent. A.D. (c. 130 A.D. f.) less than 1 s you can see, there are thousands more New estament Greek manuscripts than any other ncient writing. The internal consistency of the ew Testament documents is about 99.5% extually pure. That is an amazing accuracy. In ddition there are over 19,000 copies in the yriac, Latin, Coptic, and Aramaic languages. The total supporting New Testament anuscript base is over 24,000. lmost all biblical scholars agree that the New estament documents were all written before he close of the First Century. If Jesus was rucified in 30 A.D., then that means that the ntire New Testament was completed within 70 ears. This is important because it means there ere plenty of people around when the New estament documents were penned who could ave contested the writings. In other words, hose who wrote the documents knew that if hey were inaccurate, plenty of people would ave pointed it out. But, we have absolutely no ncient documents contemporary with the First entury that contest the New Testament texts. urthermore, another important aspect of this iscussion is the fact that we have a fragment f the gospel of John that dates back to around 9 years from the original writing (John Rylands apyri 125 A.D.). This is extremely close to the riginal writing date. This is simply unheard of n any other ancient writing and it emonstrates that the Gospel of John is a First entury document. elow is a chart with some of the oldest extant ew Testament manuscripts compared to when hey were originally penned. Compare these ime spans with the next closest which is omer's Iliad where the closest copy from the riginal is 500 years later. Undoubtedly, that eriod of time allows for more textual orruption in its transmission. How much less o for the New Testament documents? Important Manuscript Papyri Contents p 52 (John Rylands Fragment) John 18:31-33,37-38 P 46 (Chester Beatty Papyrus) Rom. 5:17-6:3,5-14; 8:15-25, 27-35; 10: 11,22,24-33,35; 16:1-23, 25-27; Heb.; 1 Cor., Eph., Gal., Phil., Col.; 1 Thess. 1:1, 2:1-3; 5:5-9, 23-28 P 66 (Bodmer Papyrus) John 1:1-6:11,35-14:26; fragment of 14: P 67 Matt. 3:9,15; 5:20-22, 25-28 f the critics of the Bible dismiss the New estament as reliable information, then they ust also dismiss the reliability of the writings f Plato, Aristotle, Caesar, Homer, and the other uthors mentioned in the chart at the beginning f the paper. On the other hand, if the critics cknowledge the historicity and writings of hose other individuals, then they must also etain the historicity and writings of the New estament authors; after all, the evidence for he New Testament's reliability is far greater han the others. The Christian has substantially uperior criteria for affirming the New estament documents than he does for any ther ancient writing. It is good evidence on hich to base the trust in the reliability of the ew Testament. his article is also available in: Español, 中文 1 2 3 Norman Geisler & Peter Bocchino, Unshakeable Foundations, (Minneapolis, MN: Bethany House Publishers, 2001) p. 256. The above chart was adapted from three sources: 1) Christian Apologetics, by Norman Geisler, 1976, p. 307; 2) the article "Archaeology and History attest to the Reliability of the Bible," by Richard M. Fales, Ph.D., in The Evidence Bible, Compiled by Ray Comfort, Bridge-Logos Publishers, Gainesville, FL, 2001, p. 163; and 3) A Ready Defense, by Josh Mcdowell, 1993, p. 45. "Deissmann was convinced that p52 was written well within the reign of Hadrian (A.D. 117-38) and perhaps even during the time of Trajan (A.D. 98-117)" (Footnote #2 found on pg. 39 of The Text of the New Testament, by Bruce M. Metzger, 2nd Ed. 1968, Oxford University Press, NY, NY). Bruce Metzger has authored more than 50 books. He holds two Masters Degrees, a Ph.D. and has been awarded several honorary doctorates. "He is past president of the Society of Biblical Literature, the International Society fo New Testament Studies, an the North American Patristic Society." -- From, The Case for Christ, by Lee Strobel, Zondervan Publishers, 1998, Grand Rapids, MI: pg. 57. The Jews reject Jesus because he came to save us from our sins not to promote Judaism. Which is clearly evident from Isaiah. Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. The Jews just blatantly ignore the singular reference to "He was" etc and claim it refers to the Jewish nation which is absurd. The passage is clearly talking about a man who would be punished by God for our sins. You see the Jews lost perspective and still have. Through them came the law which would prove the world of sin. Then God would send the messiah to pay for those sins because He was the only one who could live according to Gods perfect law, because He was God. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Jesus has brought all men to him through his death on the cross. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Jews played their role but did not want the Messiah to fulfill his. Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past. |

1 thing I am not Jew messianic jew , Christian ect. Their is safety in numbers and our Safety is in Messiah Yahshua Thank you for your input. It was very informative and different. I have attended both Reform temple and Chabad. For services, I like Reform. For holidays and education, I favor Chabad. I have recently tried to get into Christianity because I have so few Jewish friends. I can't. There are too many things I disagree with in the New Testament and too many things about the Torah and just plain Jewish tradition that are sacred to me. The more I studied the New Testament and talked to people, the more I just shook my head. |

Paul never broke the law porpusely Paul wrote nothing himself.. He had a scribe with him to record everything and that scribe was Barnabus A Scribe in those days was usually told what to write! |
