hardly breaking news, people were talking about the plane being shot down when it happened... I always thought the 3 major crashes in that time frame were terrorist related... this one, the plane that nosedived into a Florida swamp, and the Swiss-air crash in Canada...

In this day and age anything can be faked, evidence can be suppressed and covered up.

So there is NEVER ANY PROOF of anything that will satisfy people who insist on wearing their rose colored glasses is there?

A lot of people think it was a missile. If it was, then there is someone who was on that ship that fired it.

All that is needed is proof that the truth was covered up by the FBI.

KELLY O’MEARA: Not only were there ships there, but there actually was a live fire exercise going on off the coast that night, and that’s why they had closed down the flight corridor that is parallel to the commercial flight path.

KELLY O’MEARA: When there’s a distress, you’re supposed to, by law of the sea, go and try and help. These ships went in the absolute opposite direction away from the crash site, and at 30 knots.

NARRATOR: The search for clear-cut evidence continued. And Borjesson was offered a piece of seat fabric from the plane that had undergone preliminary testing.

PHILIP WEISS: The test had revealed that there were heavy metals in it that were consistent with a missile strike that went through the plane at a certain point where this seat was very close to. And Kristina received a sample to do independent verification.

KRISTINA BORJESSON: I mean, it was just amazing. How many times do you get hard evidence from something? I had no idea there was going to be any problem whatsoever.



I find the FBI guilty of a cover-up and possibly worse. I order that the investigation be reopened.

As it turns out, both the FBI and the NTSB investigated whether or not a shoulder-launched missile could have taken down the aircraft.

double- headed Sledgehammer rocket?

No mention of the National guard Armory robbery in North Carolina where a double headed sledgehammer rocket was stolen in the 70's?

When the incident occurred, the FBI and the CIA both thought it was possible that the aircraft was downed by some kind of missile. So, that possibility was on their minds when investigators interviewed witnesses and looked at all available data. Even the NTSB sought to learn if the the aircraft could have been downed by some kind of weapon hitting it from the outside.

By the way, a sledgehammer rocket is a 9-foot-tall model rocket.

Yes no guidance system. The rumor mill says that several of them were fired at the plane, and a couple of them missed the mark.

But they said it was a "double headed sledgehammer rocket." That picture does not look like a double headed rocket. Although I don't know what a double headed rocket looks like.
