When my brother inlaw split up with his wife, they had a very bitter & nasty divorce. They would celebrate all holidays separately, like Christmas, one with Mom, one with Dad. The woman was being very nasty, mean, and used the kids to her advantage to get at him. I had suggested to send the kids some "gifts" to open at their mother's house Xmas day, those being Air Horns! What other kinds of "gifts" would you send if in a situation like that???

we never had those issues after our divorce.. we agreed beforehand(and notarized it) that the kids needs were greater than our differences so.. they'd would wake up in their own beds and open gifts at home (I mainly had them full time) and he'd come after lunch and take them until Jan.2nd..

I wouldn't let someone sucker me into a all out mental war.Once the relationship was over I would move on. The best revenge is to live better!

He should be grateful he still has kids and rise above it and let his children see that for themselves. It could be an awful awful lot worse.

Depends on how old the kids are. If they're young, perhaps one of those annoying 'Tickle me Elmo" dolls that talks,or one of those stupid singing Christmas trees that were motion activated. Another good one, the Billy Bass singing fish. That one, I'd have put the best batteries I could find in it, and glue the battery door shut.

I would stay out of it and allow them to resolve their family issues between themselves and the courts, and I would not take sides.

what appears as mean and nasty to outsiders often has a good explanation. he perhaps had earned mean and nasty? if the spiteful behavior you suggest is serious and typical in your family, I could see why she would want to limit her contact and the children's contact with your side of the family. what I hope is that you are not being completely serious.

That's easier said than done where kids are involved. Are the kids girls or boys, if girls, get em a karaoke machine or anything that will make them scream with glee. If they're boys, idk, guns? lol.
