Sorry, but that's a bs reason not to allow same sex marriages. Especially when they can adopt children who are in need of a home.

yes, the kids are no reason for us to consider,, they never really are when our immediate desires are the issue,,,,

I'm not saying that the kids shouldn't be considered. I just don't think your reasoning is good enough to ban same sex marriage.

Are you also going to ban straight people from getting married and having children because they may get a divorce, give their kids up for adoption, or even have gay children?

No one is forcing anyone to get a same sex marriage. If you don't agree with it, don't get one. Simple.

Marriage is all about legal obligation controlled and regulated by the STATE.

As a woman, it will tie you legally to the man and visa verse. It costs money (paid to the State) to get married and it costs (paid to the STATE) money to get divorced.

It is about community property, and spousal benefits etc. The reasons for these "spousal benefits" were originally for the protection of the woman who did not work, and who had the job of raising the children.

If a same sex couple can't get the STATE to get involved legally with their living arrangements, they will just have to write up their own legal contracts. Writing up your own legal contracts with your significant other will bring clarity to the agreement.

I think all couples should do the same and stop letting the STATE DEFINE their relationships.

In other words, BAN ALL STATE SANCTIONED MARRIAGES.

Stop letting other people govern you and your life.

If you still want to get married via legal documents, at least, DRAW UP A PRENUPTIAL that will define the nature of the agreement so you have a clear picture of what you are getting into.

Some things are harder to get out of than into. Remember that.

There are bills being drawn up that will require private businesses to hire and change their businesses to suit homosexers.

If they refuse, they will be forced to close. Heard a little something about that on a Christian radio station.

I am agreeing, for different reasons

the state is leaning towards defining marriage as any adult consentual relationship, which only serves the state(money , political votes) and not the community in my opinion

in this new day, if I were to marry , I would leave the state out of it and strictly be married in an environment that recognized the definition of marriage as heterosexual , non related , adult consummation and joining of assets and responsibilities

I cant understand what change would need to be made,, besides maybe where it came to spousal benefits, functions,,etc,,,

business is not where we have sex, so what would sexual preference have to do with our business environment,,,
