There is no just cause for Christians to condone sexual intercourse outside of marriage, Sexual Immorality is a Sin.

Do you not know your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
Flee from sexual immorality. All others sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

(I Corinthians 6:15-20) NIV

First the bible is for daily use not special occasions
Second, he, who is without sin can cast the first stone.
Everyone makes mistake, bottom line God loves all this children, and forgive because He love us.

It is not throwing stones to compare what Christians actually do to what the New Testament says that Christians are supposed to do.

I am asking Christians who condone sex outside of marriage to explain the apparent discrepancy between their belief about sex and the New Testament's teachings about sex.

Alf, I may be about to step on some toes here. That's not my intention. But here is what I see to be the truth.

We as a nation have become to obsessed with sex. The greatest majority of people now put way to much emphasis on sex. A lot of people believe they cannot do without it for very long. A lot of people base their relationships on sex and the performance there of. What does that sound like to you? Sounds a little like Sodom & Gomorrah don't you think?

A lot of "Christian" people believe that God understands these "urges" and that he is a loving God that will understand. He will not send them to hell. No matter what the word says. So, They reason it away. When all the time the word has told them what God expects of his people. They fall for what the tempter has made them believe. It's some of that "faults" religion that many fall for. Even men and women who have been married before fall for this. They think "Well, What am I holding on to? I was married many yrs and had X amount of kids.I'm not a virgin anymore". So what if I have sex with X guy/gal. Even though that's not the way the bible teaches us to be.

I'm not going to get to deep with this. This is a deeper subject than some people realize. This is the part where I feel I will step on someones toes. A lot of people who think they are not going to he!!,That's exactly where they are headed if they don't stop what they know deep down inside, they know is wrong. A lot of people now lack self control over their own bodies. That lack of self control and not taking the bible literally,They are getting lead down the wrong path.Yes, ONE TIME you might can say,"I made a mistake" "I'm sorry lord, forgive me"

You are forgiven right then and there. But, When your "urges" get the best of you and you keep doing the same thing over and over again,And you know in your heart you're wrong, The bible says, "Tempt not the lord thy God" The bible also say that he will not always strive with man. So, How long and how many times can we do something we know in our hearts is wrong, and keep asking forgiveness, before he decides to stop striving with us? Christians who read and understand their bible know that sex before marriage is wrong.

I can understand a man or woman screwing up one time. Maybe they thought they had met the right one? Maybe you got made a fool of by some man or woman. But once is all it should take to learn.

I stop here.

In a perfect world it is wrong but not everyone can go without as Paul said, it's a gift to be able to go without.
Technically I would have loved to meet a holy Christian women virgin at a young age and married her BUT that never happened.

So what do us giftless sods do who cannot get married but cannot control themselves.

Paul says to get married.

Paul says to go without sex is a gift and so did Jesus and that not everyone has that gift.

I could cut my balls off but is not that a sin?

Besides I am very attached to my balls.

I have and probably will again have sex out of wedlock simply because I have no other means to unless I masterbate to pictures of naked chubby ladies with hairy legs.

Yet its not the same as the real thing and so in my situation there are mitigating circumstances.

I believe that God will take them into account.

Feminism and secular materialism has made it tough for a lot of men to get a keeper.

No wonder everyone is going gay.

Smh. Ms harmony is correct. Marriage is this: The two will be united and become one flesh. God does not require a license to marry!

Prostitutes are paid for sexual favors which is fornication.

Exodus 22:16,17

Recall also the woman at the well who had five husbands. Jesus did not condemn her.

Even to this day it is not a "tradition" but what God did from the beginning...He the Father gave Adam his wife.

But today's society the woman thinks it's her own body to give to whom she chooses.

What God has joined together let man not separate.

These are sexual immorality as defined by God. Leviticus 18

Deuteronomy 21:13. Consummation

1 CORINTHIANS chp 15 vs 33 :

BE NOT DECEIVED; EVIL COMMUNICATIONS CORRUPT GOOD MANNERS

Wow! very interesting topic Dodo_David (as usual).

Well here's my take on it. :)

Christians are human beings. We are natural creations of Almighty God just like plants, dogs, fish, etc. We are alive and one of the characteristics of all living beings is the natural need to mate/reproduce etc. Now a Christian, is a "human" being trying to live by the rules and examples set down by Jesus and Jehovah, and it's sometimes a very hard spiritual fight because these are people trying to walk a spiritual walk whilst still living in a natural body. And seeing that the sex drive is one of the most powerful drives in the natural body of living beings its hard sometimes for even Christians to reject the call of nature to mate.

I applaud all Christian who have come to the spiritual point of total and complete celibacy. God bless you.

But David, don't think for one second that its all nice and sweet for the Christians who haven't and who have sex. It's a punishment more than its a pleasurable act for the true believer who has that thorn of lust eating away inside their spirit. It's hurtful and after, and sometimes during the same act they can feel grief, heartbreak, guilt, sadness, shame, depressed, etc... all within themselves and their spirit. It makes them feel like a dirty sinner and one unworthy to hold up their heads and hands in worship before Almighty God. It's very-very hurtful for the true Christian to think that they have disappointed Almighty God. To the point that sometimes for them fornication is the only thing holding them back from true righteousness.

Now to your question about the Christians who "condone" fornication. They are not Christians but heathens ,(Romans chp 8) Maybe their spirit is willing but their flesh is weak, they need to get back to the Bible and properly understand 1 Corinthians chapters 5, 6, & 7.

Those individuals need spiritual deliverance and prayer because not only are they walking in the carnal/flesh but they have also lost the fear of God.

They are serving a god other than Jesus Christ as they are promoting things that are against God's law and probably trying to seduce good, clean, wholesome, longsuffering Christians into a life of sin.

God Bless you all, stay forever strong

Sincerely

SS

you can twist God word to say whatever you want, try twisting it on judgment day see how your twisting goes. Godly peaple struggle with sin ,it does not change the fact it is sin.

Is there just cause for Christians to condone sexual intercourse outside of marriage, or are Christians who do so just trying to serve two masters?

Jesus said You can not serve two masters. You either you love one and hate the other.

Israel goes through cycles of sin, suffering, and salvation.

The ancient Israelites got into trouble when they "did that which was right in (their) own eyes" ( Judges 17:6, 21:25) rather than what God wanted them to do. Don't make the same mistake yourself!

God will judge evil and reward His saints.

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein. (Revelation 1:3)

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (Revelation 5:12)
