It could be one of those numbers that as soon as you dial it, you add a hundred plus pounds to your telephone bill, the money transferred to an account overseas. Seems to be a new scam here in the UK, scammers push a card through your door telling you there is a parcel to deliver, ring this number to arrange a time, and as soon as you call the number, the money is transferred. Caught quite a few people in the UK over last Christmas.
