I just got a call and they are heading out...

He will phone me when he gets there,
but at two dollars or more a minute,
he won't be able to call often...

I just had to share some funny stuff...
He told me that he ate a whole bunch
of some serious bean burritos
and other flatulence inducing foods
to provide such a lovely fragrant atmosphere
for the inhumane pole smokers...

heck if they say anything to him,
he could always say,

"No Sir, I don't smell anything...
He who smelt it... dealt it....Sir..."

Snuggles,
I searched and searched , but couldn't find it...
there were many, many pages to peruse...
Then I decided that it was no big deal...
People are always going to have opinions
and oftentimes they don't know
what they are talking about soooooo
it only proves their ignorance...

I have to focus on the positive
cause there is just too much negative.


I need to put my energy into postive prayer and intercession in bringing our loved ones home from that horrible war soon.

ahhhhhhhhhhh so true Vanessa, that is why I went off on my rant where some don't venture...........Laughter, love, and smiles is the way you should try and live your life........build up the positives, and slam down the negatatives..............do you think that just maybe we should send Gary and the guys care packages of items that will cause lots of flatulance...........that way they will get a lot of silent chuckles..........that won't get them yelled at............Have a beautiful and happy Monday..........keep laughing, and pass your smile on to someone in need

I wish to share my morning coffee and the sunrise with you Brigade and the men that are with you as well.....the sun is a warm orangey pink as it daces slowly over the mountain, as it continues to dance the mists rise from the valley, hanging and clinging to the trees and brush along the creek bed, birds singing and flying about , nothing disturbs this glorious tranquility except the light clicking of the keys as I type.Coffee is steaming, its aroma dancing and teasing my nose.Here's to the day when we can share this coffee and sunrise, safely from all of our own homes. I am blessed to have another day in this country paradise, thanks to you all who serve...thank you.

I am back my dearly beloved friends
Oh, thank you for missing me, my faithful buddies....

Remember I mentioned having an old platonic friend
I've known since the early 80's...While he was working
as a foreman of the water district, he suffered extreme
work related injuries to his back & hips...
So, I go over there once in a while & help him out
for a few days every so often...
well, I took a few days off to get out of the city
to help him with some projects around the house
and to water his garden.

He's got the most beautiful Harley I have even seen,
It is a 'bad to the bone' screamer, a gorgeous,
full dressed electroglide & we went cruising
through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains
on the back roads, with the colors of the sunset
still lingering on the horizon & the full moon
rising in the east, the other night...
it was so beautiful, only I forgot my camera...

He doesn't have a computer at his place,
his son took his laptop to UCSB to college,
so I didn't have any way of getting on line...

So, I am back & I feel really special
to have been missed... Thank you

Every time I think of Gary,
I try to pray rather than worry.
Cause prayer is effective and worry is not...

We don't know what the future has in store for any of us,
all we can do is hope for the best...

I am so thankful for the opportunity to know Gary
and to be close to one another in spirit and in our hearts ...No one can predict the future but I do know
that I have found a very tight, lifetime friend in him...
That is the absolute prerequisite for any relationship.

And there is no amount of money that can even come near
to the priceless value of the love & closeness we share.

So, I'd like to thank you all for your love & prayers,
for the poems & the spiritual encouragement for Gary,
& for the rest of the guys in his battalion
& for all who serve in the military...
