Hi Sage...
Nice to hear from you.... I don't really feel comfortable with saying anything specific online, Dear... I feel that if Gary wants to tell you guys any details, that'll be up to him to share that...it's not my place... I am real vague, if you notice online, for the best. Maybe I'm paranoid, but then again, it is better to be over protective, than not enough... I am so naive' when it comes to the war... But, I feel it is better to be safe than sorry. I would want to keep all of our soldier's activities rather vague and very hush hush... |

Men who for truth and honor's sake
Stand fast and suffer long. Brave men who work while others sleep, Who dare while others fly... They build a nation's pillars deep And lift them to the sky. Ralph Waldo Emerson from : A Nation's Strength |

"Our lives are not determined by what happens to us
but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results. " anonymous |

For GARY... One of my most favorite songs and tunes. I wish you could hear it...it's hauntingly beautiful... Mr. Tom Rush does an excellent version of this song, too. Urge For Going...By the incomparable Ms. Joni Mitchell "I awoke today and found the frost perched on the town It hovered in a frozen sky, then it gobbled summer down When the sun turns traitor cold And shivering trees are standing in a naked row I get the urge for going, but I never seem to go I get the urge for going When the meadow grass is turning brown Summertime is falling down and winter is closing in I had me a man in summertime He had summer-colored skin... And not another girl in town My darling's heart could win, But when the leaves fell trembling down Bully winds did rub their faces in the snow... He got the urge for going, And I had to let him go... He got the urge for going When the meadow grass was turning brown Summertime was falling down and winter was closing in... The warriors of winter they gave a cold triumphant shout And all that stays is dying and all that lives is getting out. See the geese in chevron flight flapping and racing on before the snow They've got the urge for going, they've got the wings to go... They get the urge for going When the meadow grass is turning brown Summertime is falling down and winter is closing in I'll ply the fire with kindling and pull the blankets to my chin And I'll lock the vagrant winter out and bolt my wandering in... I'd like to call back summertime and have her stay just another month or so She's got the urge for going and I guess she'll have to go... And she get the urge for going when meadow grass is turning brown All her empires are falling down and Winter's closing in..." I love you, Gary and miss you, Babe. Take care of yourself, Sweetheart You are forever in my heart & prayers... Vanessa |

I have nothing but respect and honor for what OUR TROOPS give to us each and every day. I hope they all know and feel the prayers and love that comes there way. The life they have chosen is not and easy life at all. Not knowing from minute to minute what will be coming there way. Cheers to you all Thank you all for the things you do!! This is one I wrote a few months back just would like to share have others of the same nature also. My Dad was in the Army in the Korean War an to him there was nothing he was more proud of then this lad and the Flag. War is very real and all should SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!! "The Land of the Unknown" We send our troops each day. To a land that is so far away. Yes it was there choice. To take this stand so we have the freedom to voice. Our rights we call them for us to take. But it is there lives they put at stake. Just for all of us in order to be free. As we sit with our families and drink tea. Laughing and smiling having fun. While there hell has just begun. Do we ever really take the time to see? The life they have and to the degree. The things they have given. As they vow never to give up until they have won. There are those that march across the land. As they listen to there first in command. Yelling out there orders they must follow. As they breathe deep and try to swallow. At that moment beside them a bomb has exploded. As they look upon there wounded. They hear there cries. And see the tears in there eyes. As they plead just to let them live. All they want to do is just survive. What will it take? To bring them all back. Will we really ever know? Can we reach that plateau? That some day. Our troops will come home to stay. Thank you for your love and support Ladies and Gentlemen... You are awesome....I don't know what to say to thank you... Me who never seems to be at a loss for words... You are the very best...With all of you, I am so, so blessed. It is a wonderful feeling to have such a closeness with people you've never actually seen in the flesh... this huge box, like crayola crayons a full, vast spectrum of different people, 64 and more vibrant shades & hues of online friends... connecting with one another on deeper, more meaningful levels. People you might know them better than some of your neighbors & oftentimes better than those you pass by every day. Here 's to all of you !!! To Sergeant Brigade... GARY... and to all of our brave soldiers on the battlefields all over the world... God Bless you and bring you all home safely and soon. I hope to someday rub shoulders with you... and give you all a big hug, too... Thank you for all you are and for all you do... |

Nice to see you, Snuggles....
I' ve just been kind of holding down the fort... Just trying to keep busy & hoping for the best. Sending afternoon prayers up for our troops... And I also lift up prayers for the leaders... for the ones who call the shots from afar. I pray that their hearts will be opened and that they will make wise choices when it comes to other people's lives..... Let them learn what real humility is & genuine caring & understanding... let them be put in harm's way just for once to know what it is like for their soldiers and to defend what they truly believe in. |
