One of the cool things about Koontz is that he doesn't just write for one genre. He writes Thriller, Suspense, Horror and Science Fiction. And he excels in every one of these genres. |

Some of my favorite horror authors:
Stephen King- though not all of his books are horror. Richard Laymon- I'd say he's not for everyone, he can be very graphic and pulls zero punches when it comes to content. His books are fun fast reads, some of my favorite books of his: The Stake- A horror writer finds a dead woman with a stake through her heart in a ghost town. Was she the victim of murder, or is there a chance she was a real vampire? Night In The Lonesome October- A depressed college student starts going for longs walks in the middle of the night and discovers there's a whole different world out there while everyone else is asleep. Body Rides- What would you do if you had the ability to take "rides" in other people's bodies? In The Dark- A librarian starts receiving notes and money to carry out different tasks from a mysterious stranger, but as the sums of money gets bigger, the tasks become more dangerous, and the mysterious stranger won't let her stop. The Traveling Vampire Show- In the 1960's, 3 teens hear about The Traveling Vampire Show, and know this is something they don't want to miss, of course they know there are no real vampires... |

And his newest book 11/22/63 is excellent. |
