People are attracted to who they're attracted to. You cannot force a woman to be attracted to bigger men if she's simply not attracted to them.

That is true. I would add that if an overweight woman rejects a man because he is overweight, then she is in no position to complain if a man treats her the same way.

Perhaps there are other reasons she didn't go for the bigger man. Perhaps there was another guy she was more attracted to. Who knows.

I'm not a skinny woman, but I have never been attracted to only bigger men. I also don't feel like I must go for a bigger man just because I am not skinny. You may see things differently, but you don't get to decide who is attracted to who.

I am not disagreeing with you. We think more alike than you realize.

I can only go by what you've said here. And that does not make me think we think much alike. But, if you're starting to get that everyone has preferences, perhaps we are thinking more alike. :)

I didn't deny that everyone has preferences.
I didn't say that an overweight woman shouldn't pursue whomever she wants to pursue.

If an overweight woman rejects a man because the man is overweight, then she shouldn't gripe if a man reject her because of her weight. Such griping would be perceived as being an act of hypocrisy.

I think Dodo David was just making a point that if an overweight woman is turning down a man because he is overweight; then she should not be upset if she is turned down because of her being overweight. I get what you are saying about personality, etc but the subject is about being rejected based on weight and nothing else.

It seems it's just about certain preferences, that only each individual can make for themselves period. Why would you even want to try and persuade someone who's just not into you, for whatever reason? I don't Get that....put the gun down and walk away...bigsmile

I am not a skinny guy and there are skinny ladies who like me. Some like thick guys and some like my personality. Most like the fact that I treat them in a why that makes them feel good about themselves when they are with me.

But I am not comfortable being heavy. So I work out and am losing weight for me. Well the the Doc is a jerk too and she demands that I do also. She is judgmental. I told her if she doesn't like me heavy then Ill dump her and I'll go get another doctor. Plenty of Docs in the world.

Make sure that she does not retain more than half of all the organs you got inplanted while you were seeing her, and none of the organs you had had before you had your first visit at her office. And watch her hands at all times, esp. when she holds a scalper or is handling hydrochloric acid, or smallpox bacterial cultures.

All we know is what the OP said. We don't know the other side of it. So, we don't know if the person actually rejected someone solely because they were overweight or not. What I am saying is there may have been more to it.

And if there wasn't more to it? Well, that's just a part of life. It happens. You cannot force attraction. If someone is not attracted to overweight men (even if she is overweight) that's her preference.

People do turn down others because they're overweight. It's a part of life.

Haha, dump your doctor, good one, I think people carry their weight differently and you can still be in good shape and have issues. I work out three times a week. I also have had three c-sections. But, the people I surround myself with make me feel good about my appearance and are into me, my personality goes a long way, but I can't be with a man who doesn't think I am also physically beautiful.

I think many dieticians all are pretty much the same. I should never have listened to any of em. laugh. They had my abdomen in more pain than before. Funny how every bit of advice they gave me, ended up the opposite result of what they expected. Huh.

I think most people in the medical field are textbook. Hence the statement "practice" medicine. Many are afraid to think outside the box and consider other conditions that could apply to different individuals. So many mis-diagnosed people due to "text-book" diagnosis, ie: overweight and high blood pressure, a common misnomer.

Help me understand that mentality? If you are a "big" woman and are excluding men that are overweight how can you even say that without being in shape yourself?? I prefer thick woman myself but don't close my mind to all sizes.. what do you think?

I might have to do with how well they "fit" together if you get my meaningbigsmile

No, silly, too much cushion on both sides makes it hard to get to the right spot well and thoroughlybigsmile

Can't say it would be interesting to see certain skinny people having sex, either.

I have to wonder why the weight issue comes up so much with men. Either men are complaining that women are too big, or in this case, that women aren't going for bigger men. Why worry so much about it? If you don't like someone because of their weight, why not move onto someone else? Or, if someone doesn't like you because of your weight, move on! We all have preferences. Not all of us will fit into everyone else's preferences.

My guess is pure unadulterated laziness. Maybe a lack of a hobby. Not to mention shallow insecurity to boot. In most cases I won't see a chiseled man 6'3", muscle defined individual walk with a size 18. HELL NAH. They complain because they can.
