African American pastor calls for blacks to end “slavish devotion to the Democrat Party”

http://www.glennbeck.com/2012/10/02/african-american-pastor-calls-for-blacks-to-end-%e2%80%9cslavish-devotion-to-the-democrat-party/

Glenn started the radio show this morning with audio from African American preacher E.W. Jackson who filmed a video where he makes a strong call for blacks to end their “slavish devotion to the Democrat Party.”

TheBlaze reports:

“They have insulted us, used us, and manipulated us. They have saturated the black community with ridiculous lies,” he said, speaking directly to the black community. ”They think we are stupid and that these lies will hold us captive while they violate everything we believe as Christians.”

Jackson went into detail in the video, taking aim at the “unholy alliance” that he sees between Democrats, faux-civil rights leaders and Planned Parenthood.

“The Democratic Party has created an unholy alliance between certain so-called civil rights leaders and Planned Parenthood, which has killed unborn black babies by the tens of millions,” he proclaimed.

On the morality front, Jackson took issue with the party’s internal debate over “God” being dropped from its platform and derided the notion that homosexuality should be equated “with being black.“ He called the later tenet of the Democratic Party an ”outrageous lie.”

“We as Christians ought to know better. Shame on us for allowing ourselves to be sold to the highest bidder,” Jackson continued, telling his fellow black pastors that they, too, would need to make a decision between supporting Democrats and embracing Jesus.

“You know what strikes me? The righteous indignation he has at the beginning,” Glenn said.

Glenn said that if African Americans realized how much they have been used by the Democrats and the progressives to maintain their power they would be outraged. The left continues to celebrate Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and known racist, and most don’t know her true history. Sanger even said that progressives needed to recruit African American preachers to convince blacks to be on their side.

Great topic.

There are many who can now see the lie.

They are coming over to the right side.

IMO, both parties are the problem.

Liberals just want to have everyone dependent on the Gubament and on welfare.

Check out this gal.

here is the truth

politicians are FIRST human and then they decide a political affiliation and within a political affiliation no two individuals will see EVERY issue the same

the civil rights act, for instance, was passed because a MAJORITY voted for it

the main ones who objected were SOUTHERNERS (both dem and republican)

the vote was divided more by region than by a political affiliation although people love to claim democrats were pro slavery...

Vote totals

Totals are in "Yea–Nay" format:
The original House version: 290–130 (69–31%).
Cloture in the Senate: 71–29 (71–29%).
The Senate version: 73–27 (73–27%).
The Senate version, as voted on by the House: 289–126 (70–30%).

[edit] By party

The original House version:[16]
Democratic Party: 152–96 (61–39%)
Republican Party: 138–34 (80–20%)

Cloture in the Senate:[17]
Democratic Party: 44–23 (66–34%)
Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)

The Senate version:[16]
Democratic Party: 46–21 (69–31%)
Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)

The Senate version, voted on by the House:[16]
Democratic Party: 153–91 (63–37%)
Republican Party: 136–35 (80–20%)

[edit] By party and region

Note: "Southern", as used in this section, refers to members of Congress from the eleven states that made up the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War. "Northern" refers to members from the other 39 states, regardless of the geographic location of those states.

The original House version:
Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7–93%)
Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0–100%)
Northern Democrats: 145–9 (94–6%)
Northern Republicans: 138–24 (85–15%)

The Senate version:
Southern Democrats: 1–20 (5–95%)
Southern Republicans: 0–1 (0–100%)
Northern Democrats: 45–1 (98–2%)
Northern Republicans: 27–5 (84–16%)

contrast the northern and southern states now to see how they vote,,,,it isnt the party that is at issue, its much more about the regional support,,,

and republicans now have the support of many of those same racist ideologies and personalities who once were dixiecrats,,,,

Hmm it seems both of you have small points some valid some not so much.. In my humble opinion as a soldier who has tasted the loss of blood and shed blood and tears in three different theaters of combat.. I feel I have seen the truth and the lies in both parties and over all I am discussed with them both.. I understand that in war me and my comrades are calculated as acceptable losses... or recognized as heroes for political gain and nothing more.. When I first was sent over seas I witnessed no terrorist to fight but did see oil and lots of it and was instructed to guard it even though it was not our oil and we were forced to fight and risk our lives and yes we volunteered to do so, never the less that does not devalue our lives... we put our lives on the line so bush and cheney could settle scores and get rich.. bush with the attempt on his fathers life and cheney with the companies he had vested in.. and the country was lied to and was told the al qaeda forces was in iraq.. and when the cia came out and said that we were all being lied to the democrats said nothing to condemn or impeach the president and vice dictator.. and the republicans did nothing as usual..when does it become ok and acceptable to have lives lost for personnel gain and no one act how is it they impeached clinton for a lie and a excuse my language a blow job.. but getting soldier blown up and killed isnt worth impeaching.. please cheney can get a heart transplant knowing he was the reason so many lives were lost but vets cant get there benefits.. really.. how is it these so called Representative are willing to cut benefits for vets and other people working in the government but they wont take a pay cut or cut out the "donations" to their "respectable parties"? where is the justice and honor and in god we trust at in this government of ours.. its a fascad you have humans who are after money..and want to do what ever it takes to get it... granted everyone is not bad but those who do not speak out against the ones that are are as just as guilty. please respond...

I would never have anything positive to talk about if I spent all my time trying to 'speak out' against the ones that are 'bad'

and I do appreciate those who stand up for what they believe, and try to stop indiscrtion and injustice

I have loved ones doing that as well that are in grave danger daily,, I love them dearly and appreciate them even though they would be the first to say they arent doing anything that deserves accolades of any sort

I guess what I am trying to say is that although I agree that 'greed' motivates plenty of humans, both in and out of the political arena,, I dont think EVERYONE is greedy and I dont think greed can be completely eliminated from any political affiliation

but I dont focus on the greed so much that I will become a person who refuses to see the progress and sacrifices made as well,,,and those not made but at least fought for,,,

Thank you sir!
And thank you for putting you life on the line for what you was led to believe was a just cause.
This current president and the next one after him will do exactly as Bush and Cheney did.

Well stated fellow patriot and brother in arms drinker

2% of the population will ever serve in the AFUSA, yet over 50% will gladly beat the war drums if called upon, until it touches them, then it's different....they start asking questions and discover the truths.

Soldiers guard oil and poppy fields....and this is considered defense of our nation? A country votes against a central bank, pledges to sell it's oil or exports in something other than the fiat US or Euro dollars....and we bomb them, removing their gov't, giving them an unstable, rulable by force of arms dictator that sees things our way, who becomes worse than what we removed, or power and money hungry warlords to soften them up for "democracy"!

slaphead

If people could only remove the blinders and see the reasons why our leaders won't go to Congress for a "declaration of war".... because they would have to provide proof of that need, and too many would question that proof, and begin to realize the obvious.

Not all politicians are bad, just many are blinded by party loyalties and bad advice..... and really bad misinformation.

and republicans now have the support of many of those same racist ideologies and personalities who once were dixiecrats,,,,

Just like the Democratic Party used to have the support of the late U.S. Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV), who had been a member of the KKK at one time in his life.

Yes, Democrats also have the support of racists. In case you didn't notice, during the 2008 Democratic Party primaries, Democrat supporters of Hillary Clinton were the ones who started the false rumor that Barack Obama wasn't born in the USA.

Seriously, can you name one plank in the current national Republican Party platform that is racist?

[Disclosure: I am not a Republican.]

I asked you to name a plank in the Republican Party platform that is racist. You did not do that. Instead, you named a bunch of people (one not even a politician) whom you accuse of racism without providing any evidence of racism.
