my cat keeps puking I've washed her food n water dishes I've put plants up the food i was told to feed her is what the vet told me to feed her um her litter box is cleaned but she keeps puking should i find a new vet and find out if they can figure out what is wrong or should i just buy this costly *** food from the vet? i also gave her hairball treatment but that don't seem to be helping her puking it's not hairballs she has puked up shes puked up plants last week her puke was all white and today was yellow with some food in it im use to her messin with my strawberry plant we also have a spider plant i've put them both up away from her as well, n her drinking my strawberry milk new thing was the spider plant which i already put up higher from her i gave her a bath as well i brushed the crap outta her today i also gave her a crap load of the hairball gel too but she puked once again after i just woke up anyone have any suggestions on what the next thing i should do?

a friend told me to go a week with giving her water to drink that is filtered in the pitcher and to give her a spoonful of tuna with no tuna water for a week would this really work would this really help her tummy?

I've also stopped giving her treats because i rather find out what is all wrong with her and i have also quit giving her people food she hasn't been eating people food for 6months so i know it's not human food she's getting sick from she has been without treats for maybe 2months now.

please help me get my baby girl to feeling good again she yes still eats and still drinks water she hasn't stopped doing any of theses

Tuna has no nutritional value for a cat, and it can be bad if they eat too much.

My cat has digestive problems as well. Nine Lives Plus Care seems to be good for him, and feeding him the same food seems to help. Purina foods also seem to work well. Strictly no table or human foods. No milk either, cats are lactose intolerant.

She could be getting sick from the plants.

If you don't feel comfortable with your vet, get a second opinion.

the tuna thing is what a friend told me i was asked if maybe shes allergic to the food idk just hope i can find out what is all wrong with her goin to take her to the vet hospital on the 29th when i get paid n have them draw blood on her and see what is all wrong with my baby girl.

She could be allergic to something in the food. Does she seem picky? My cat usually isn't picky about eating, but he seems to be a good judge of what's good and bad for him, as far as cat food goes at least. lol

He doesn't like the really cheap food, that also makes him sick when he eats it, so I avoid the cheap stuff, and stick with name brand, usually try to stick with Purina products, but some other name brands seem to be good as well.

People say a lot of things. lol Some say the BARF diet is the best thing for cats and dogs. I've had cats all my life. I've always fed them Purina and they've lived long and happy lives. I'm not saying that it's the best thing for them or anything, just saying from my own experience, as far as cat foods go, Purina brands seem to be the best quality.

Hopefully it's nothing more serious than a food or plant allergy.

perhaps a serenade of sorts by:Phoebe Buffay will sooth the savage beast

Three, four...

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
It's not your fault

They won't take you to the vet
You're obviously not their favorite pet
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
It's not your fault

You may not be a bed of roses
You're not friend to those with noses
I'll miss you before we're done
Or the world will smell as one

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
It's not your fault

(Phoebe) Oh are we done?

One, two, what's that smell?

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
You're getting fat

I think that I'm gonna be sick
It's your ears, and nose and pick
Part of it, tempt me

One, two, what's that smell?

All the dogs in the neighborhood
Are saying this for your own good
What, you're fat, so you can't run
No fun, I bet, No fun

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
Porno makes you eat like that
I saw you in the shopping mall

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
It's not your fault,
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
It's not your fault
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
It's not your fault

We know what was in your food
They say it might affect your mood

You smell like something dead (3x)

One, two, what's that smell?

(Phoebe)Yeah, that's not the song

With 5 cats, I have learned from my vet to
give them ABSOLUTELY nothing except
dry cat food. Which I have done for 9 years now.
Though very hard, they do not suffer any digestive issues.

Over-eating is the most common reason they toss it up.
Long-hairs (one of mine) will get a weekly
fur ball tossed up..not to be confused with
throwing up food.

So, my only suggestion mimics those already given..
cut way back on the food until you see improvement.

If she's been eating plants and bugs, my hunch is that's what the problem is, especially if she's getting better when she doesn't have access to them. I wouldn't worry too much about the bug spray unless it's being done inside your apartment. I think stress can cause vomiting, too. But definitely check with a vet, or a second vet as it sounds like you're doing. She could possibly have a gastrointestinal problem of some kind. But as long as she keeps eating well and pooping well, I don't think that's so likely.

I'm feeding my old (20 years) cat Fresh Pet, which she absolutely loves, and she seems to digest that really well. It is kind of expensive, but still that only means $4-$5 a week. My other cat has to have Science Diet because he had cystitis twice. He's the one that throws up more, but he tends to throw up the dry food rather than the moist canned.
