The notorious SS commander Otto Skorenzy was a fixture of the Dublin social scene. Folens, another SS war criminal published the nations schoolbooks. Haughey and his republican clique who sought to purchase arms for the IRA used the services of a ex-Nazi arms dealer.

Archbishop John Charles McQuaid objected to the Vatican II reforms for many reasons including the softening of the Catholic attitudes to the Jews who were held collectively responsible for the murder of Jesus.

From 1968 and the beginning of the Troubles the Irish republicans forged links with the Soviet Union and her satelite states in Eastern Europe and revolutionary movements around the world to secure arms and support.

The Workers Party morphed into the Labour Party and Sinn Fein are now no almost indistinguishable from other populist nationalist parties.

The Europeans therefore readily buy into the myth of the oppressed Palestinians - never mind that Gazans are Egyptians while West Bank residents are actually Jordanians.
They believe the myth that if the Palestinians had a state in Gaza and the West Bank all would be right.
They deliberately ignore the fact that Arabs and Muslims do not even recognise the existence of Israel and that they still are unreconstructed Jew haters.

The Black September terrorists who attacked the Israeli athletes in Munich received assistance from leftist extremist sympathisers in Germany before they launched their murderous attac in 1972.

In the 1970's the leaders of the Baader Meinhof gang tried to secure release by recruiting their Palestinian terrorist allies to hijack a passenger airliners and use innocents as hostages.

The Irish extreme left and die hard republicans - the same people who oppose the Good Friday Agreement, who were opposed to the War on Terror and opposed to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, defend the Iranian regime and advocate the violent overthrow of democracy in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland also support the Palestinian terrorists.

It is no accident that the MV Rachel Corrie involved in the latest anti-israeli stunt was purchased by an Irish trade union and was loaded with supplies in Louth which is a centre of republican activity and historically a staging post for cross border attacks on British security forces.

It is no accident that the left wing movements across Europe, left wing press, left wing academics, left wing politicians and left wing student radicals all unanimously support the Palestinians and demonise the Israelis.

They know that Arab nationalists and Muslims fanatics hold sway over entire muslim communities across Europe and that sooner or later their hatred of Western liberal values of democracy and free speech which already provokes the burning of the Danish national flag and the murder of cartoonists and death threats against prominent authors will spill over into open warfare.

They see what Israel has to deal with and they fear it will be them tomorrow.

They seek to appease Arab and Islamic terror to delay the evil day.

The Jew hatred that has remained dormont since the Second World War has therefore found an outlet and it can be expressed legitimately in open biased opposition and demonisation of Israel.

The Irish still dream of a united ireland, still dream secretly of massacring their Protestant enemies in the North and creating their Gaelic utopia even though they accepted the GFA.

That totalitarian streak can be expressed in support for another divided people who suffer occupation and who fight a guerilla war.

The Irish revolution failed but while the Israel-Palestinian conflict continues, the Irish can adopt the Palestinians as their avatars.

Northern Ireland - a member of the United Kingdom - is generally divided into two groups of people, those who are nominally Catholic and those who are nominally Protestant. So, are members of both groups Irish? If so, then do you have evidence that both groups favor Palestinians?

Also, being that it is a part of the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland's official foreign policy that of the British government. So, does the British government have an official foreign policy that favors Palestinians?
