I will cut to the chase. Has the government of the nation of Ireland enacted an official foreign policy that favors Palestinians? Northern Ireland - a member of the United Kingdom - is generally divided into two groups of people, those who are nominally Catholic and those who are nominally Protestant. So, are members of both groups Irish? If so, then do you have evidence that both groups favor Palestinians? Also, being that it is a part of the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland's official foreign policy that of the British government. To answer your question Honestly Dodo, the people of Ireland are no different to Americans. A percentage of the population feel that Israel are the main aggressors in Palestine and a percentage of people feel that the Palestinians are the Aggressors . As to Northern Ireland, there is a division of support between Catholics and Protestants. The Protestants for the most part support Israel The Catholics for the most part support Palestinians. The Conflict in Northern Ireland is very similar to the Conflict in Palestine. Both Conflicts are about Land not Religion. Protestants and Catholics are Christians but as America stand squarely behind Israel, The British stand squarely behind Protestants . The British have apologized to the Irish People, it is now time that America came clean and apologized to the Palestinians for the lopsided approach to the Palestinian conflict. The Time for Empires has expired. |
