It won't take much for them to take their guns and come here and shoot up this country who are all high on their drugs.

a cool trick I use (especially when researching bills and what is or is not in them)

is this:

at the top of the screen somewhere the search box will come in ,, just put in the word, sentence, phrase you seek and it will take you to each instance

And are there really jobs here that they are taking away from Americans? What jobs? Sweat shops and field workers? I think if Americans wanted those jobs they could probably get hired.

President Obama did specify certain criteria that young illegal immigrants must meet in order to qualify for his immigration policy. They can't "jump the border tomorrow" and qualify.

The hypothetical situation in my OP is about an 18-year-old immigrant who has lived in the USA for 17 years.

those jobs are just as easily filled by 'legal' immigrants and they are mostly word of mouth jobs that the average american wouldnt have a clue about obtaining (if they even lived in an area where such farms existed)

the initial details involve a young teen/child who has attended school (free school) for 17 years , through no effort or fault of their own

the deeper details involve at least one ADULT who has eluded the law for 17 years while their child received AMERICAN Benefits for 17 years which were not legally obtained,

the adult has PUT The child, however well intentioned, into a situation with a benefit that was not LEGALLY OBTAINED

I feel its a mistake to give this a pass

the adult should know better, they should be deported
the child should remain with their PARENT, but be permitted to apply LEGALLY for entry using their past (personal) clean american history as the documentation that would normally be used in a background
check and requiring the same sponsorship , school, or work status that anyone else entering must have,,,,
