As for the big 'G' (if there is one), then I would say no, however, people have a lot of passion for not only their religion but also their country/team/group, and it is this from which they take comfort when praying so as to acheive their personal goals they have, or their team, etc... but which they they also take comfort from when things do not turn out as well as they hoped for..

Well i think the righteous are people that accepted Him as their personal Saviour & Lord regardless of their nationality, race, skin colour, rich or poor etc... We aren't even close to being called righteous 'coz we are sinners. Fortunately,because of God's great mercy toward us He sent His only Son Jesus to carry our sins to the cross.

John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved".

Salvation is a gift freely given to all & not just America.

To the elite of this world, war is "entertainment."
To Hollywood too. They are constantly making movies about war.

War is entertainment to some people. Look at all the computer war games kids play these days.

I think the almighty God does not take sides in any of these war games.

Here is why: IF you insist that the God of Abraham (Jehovah) is the true God, then all three Abrahamic religions worship the same God.

And yet when these religions fight wars against each other they all think that this God is on their side.

I don't think so.

That is an oxymoron all in it's own. Would be hard to support "warring" if one is meek, merciful, pure in heart, or a peace maker.

Religious institutions would like to take all the humor out of life. God has nothing to do with that. I find people who are the most spiritual are happy and have a good sense of humor. I would imagine that God has an enormous sense of humor.
