a family of four cannot eat off of one young man does,,,

fatness and protein have nothing to do with the cost of FEEDING A FAMILY,,,,

what one needs to eat healthy is still not going to be covered for 100 dollars per month

I can afford to spend as much as I want to on food. Growing my own food all year long, I will likely spend less than $200.00/month on food for my family before too much longer. This is because my garage, in just over 32 square feet will have 144 square feet of gardening area in 3 vertical gardens. 1 array will be exclusively tobacco, and the remaining 2 will be for food, with minimal effort.

And lots if doctors say to follow the food pyramid that lists gains as the largest food group but people used to never eat grains. They are just easy to mass produce for food. Not that they are healthiest. Many doctors also won't acknowledge natural remedies or other things. More than likely you ate too little and suffered energy loss so did less. Also when you list weight u didn't weight train and so lost muscle before fat and lowered your metabolism that way.

I have personally lost considerable amount of weight in a shirt time from nit eating. Once I was sick and lost 20% of my body weight in a matter of about 3-4 weeks. Another time I lost 20 pounds in 2 months when i moved to japan. Considering i was only 150 to begin with its a lot

I am not as concerned with kids weights as I am with their HEALTH, and too little food is going to do them no more good than too much,

in fact, too little good food can have just as ill an effect on HEALTH as too much bad food

so tying in weight problems with what people are able to spend on food is fallacious logic,,,and irrelevant to what should be i mportatn when raising children

their HEALTH, ability to function and concentrate at school, ability to have energy to sustain through the day,,,all require proper nutrition which isnt going to happen on 25 dollars a week/per person in todays market,,,,

Call bs on that. Its cheaper to eat healthy than to buy junk. Also kids need less calories then adults. Also food stamps should supplement not pay everything.

A key element in all the liberal logic runs along the lines of any form of welfare should pay for everything. Therefore, housing supplements SHOULD pay for all housing. Food supplements should pay for all food. Etc, etc, etc.

supplement what? they are only for food...

with little to no money paying other BILLS how much is left for food that can be merely 'supplemented'

Im just a parent though, I have no clue what I speak of next to a gainfully employed young man who feeds 'HIMSELF' on fifty bucks a week,,,,

no, housing SUPPLEMENTS should help pay for housing according to what a recipient has AVAILABLE (thats called income based), but for recipients that have NO income, that often will mean the supplement has to cover the WHOLE cost

food supplements also help pay for food according to what a recipient has AVAILABLE ,,(income based)

for recipients who have no income, or little income to cover all the expesnes PLUSE food that usually means the food supplement will be all they have to eat as well,,,

welfare is supposed to HELP families based upon what HELP they need at the time,, if you are not one of those families you have NO CLUE exactly what thst is,,,,,

Congress seems to think people on welfare can live on $90.00/month less while the cost of food has gone up 30% over the past year. Democrats are arguing that it's a GOP budget plan, but the real test will be which sellouts vote for it. In the bigger picture do you really think the government cares about America?

I have a supportive family, which many dont,

I also had unemployment initially

I also went back to school to earn my degree and used money (that I will have to PAY back) to get by

I also have worked, I just havent held 'employment' ,, there is a big difference

I have had to 'work' to receive assistance

so I have continued being productive although I am struggling,

never said you are a 'bad' guy, but those needing assistance arent either,,,,and dont deserve to be treated with any less dignity or respect just because they have needed help and might not have ths support systems of others ,,,,

And yet, the very wealthy are entitled to huge tax breaks. You probably don't see how you're being pitted against other Americans. When other Americans are pitted against you, you'll remember this topic.

Welfare is the result of a corrupt monetary system and crony capitalism, not the cause of our nation's problems.

welfare is not ruining anything

greed is,,,,

the mentality of 'why should they have it' is ruining the country

hate to see what will happen when those without children stop wanting to contribute to education

or those without a desire to attend a sporting event stop wanting their taxes to build stadiums

or those with no plan to go to an amusement park insist their taxes not build them

or those who dont plan to be sick insist their taxes not contribute to builing hospitals,,,

greed is destroying much more of the 'american' fabric than welfare ever could,,,
