I did finally get the stuff hung up in my bedroom that I had bought and had never got put up yet.....

I need to make my bed washed all the linens today. Need to put it all back together...

I took a nap....not going to do anything today but shower and hit the bed!!

I've mostly twisted off today. Got a pretty good sunburn in my short little swim time - sheesh! I'm heading down tot he pool in a few for a little wine tasting party with some neighbors...gotta get them advanced from that sweet moscato!

My daughter would tell you that about me showing teeth when I smile...she calls it (somewhat disgusted but also amused) my "schoolgirl smile!"

damn spell check...I meant 'getting' ...in that previous post.

For yrs I wouldn't smile with my teeth showing..because I have a natural gap in my front teeth...had it fixed when I was 59...now it seems strange to smile without showing them.

But Carol now, you have to make her open her eyes... But I do love this new picture of hers.

Sounds like fun....at times I wish I lived in a condo or apartment at least could go to the pool everyday lol and no yard to mow...

Aww I just got out of the shower....thinking about taking Kaitlynn's dog home her mom is on her way home... They went to Tennessee to meet up with her mom so Kaitlynn can go spend a month with her in NC.

And they asked me to baby sit the dog while they were gone..They left friday night....

I'm fixing me something to eat....breakfast..the grandson was here all weekend by himself...drank all the milk..ate all the cereal...and didn't replace it...and I don't want to thaw something out just for me...Eddie is going back to work tomorrow, so he and th kid had to go to Lubbock shopping..they'll eat over there.

When it's 100 degrees and humid and I don't have to come home after work and mow, it's lovely to not have to do yard work, Kristi! But the logic part of my brain doesn't always match up with the part that misses having my own yard- planning every project and waiting impatiently for the 'manure corral' to go up at Walmart , buying plants, etc. Once after I moved here, I was at a Home Depot nursery and was literally overcome with grief and longing for that - it was like an important piece of me was gone. I went home and cried in the shower so nobody would see. Pathetic, I know. I plant my little pots and containers on my balcony but it's not quite the same. Def cooler, though! :)

Wine-time postponed due to tired kids with a schedule tomorrow. I'll have a glass of something myself, thank you very much! It's been a busy week and here's a toast to me!

Yeah it is great to have a house and all but I don't enjoy doing it all by myself ....too much to do anymore...

I think the perfect solution is to have a little nest with a little yard and hire someone ELSE to do basic mowing and trimming during the worst months. Then just enjoy the "project" part of it - planting and tending and beautifying. Sounds perfect!

I had such big dreams when we bought the property at the lake....HA!! so much for that!! All I see is work, work and more work...it's never ending.

I'm still gonna have a little nest with a yard again someday. The key word is LITTLE. I always remember that I'm single and probably will always be - need to plan realistically.

Yeah thought I was being realistic when I got my house now at times I wish it was smaller...But then seeing that it is paid for it would be stupid to sell and buy something else...

I need to invest in a riding lawn mower that way it will not take me so long to mow and can use the time for other things in the yard that needs to be done...

Either that or hire someone to do my yard...
