I lost a couple of hundred pounds with my first divorce but gained it back when we got remarried. I did find that my eating habits had changed though since I was dining out more since the cook left. The menu has changed from full course dinners to pizza; canned foods; just add water boxes and a good can opener is my tool of choice. I am getting a lot more use out of my microwave these days, too. I am learning that there are certain dishes that shouldn't be put into a microwave and that food preparation is more time consuming since I am the one who has to prepare it. Unfortunate for me is that along with losing a good cook that there were also other services that were provided that I really didn't take into consideration but seem to think a lot about of now.

Hillfolk - I can relate...I am alone most times and hate to cook for one! So I buy prepackaged meals and just heat them up! Trying to do better by adding veggies and more salads. It sure is different cooking for yourself and not for 4!

I understand what you're all going through. I've been through the dramatic weight loss . . . now I'm going through the "please don't let me gain it back" stage. I lost 65 lbs when my ex and I divorced. I've met a wonderful man who is a great cook . . . there lies my problem.
