I agree there may or may not be God. Personally, I would much rather believe in God than the mumbo-jumbo the universe just conveniently happened. if it's impossible to believe that something just conveniently happened ...then why wouldn't that same impossibility apply to God I wrote I'd rather believe in God if I'm going to believe in improbabilities. After all, the big bang theory tells the same story of creation but without God. How did the writers of the Bible know this? So through reference like that I believe God does exist. I mean, I surely hope so. the point it seems that your statement was trying to make was that you rather believe in one Mumbo Jumbo over another Mumbo Jumbo, whether it's the one singularity of the Big Bang or God himself...if "conveniently happened" is an improbability....then neither could have popped out of nothingness and had to have been created Well you "have" to believe in something. I choose God because of the Bible. Not anything I can really put my finger on. That's why it is called "blind faith" isn't it? why do you "have" to believe in something? ....didn't the God you believe in give you "Free Will"? What are you talking about? No one is trying to "prove" God. God needs no proving. God wants us to love him. This is done by a CHOICE. If God was proven to be absolute, there would be no le-way for us to "choose" to come to him or not. You have to believe in something because there is no possible way to not believe in something in that exact tense. If you do not believe in God, you then believe "God" to be false. "to "have" to believe"... only proves how "Free Will" is a myth .... How so? God doesn't force us to believe in him or not believe in him. That is what free will is, it is choice. You have the choice to believe IN God the father or not. But either way it's believing. You either "believe" in God the father or "believe" God the father is a myth. Theory - the general or abstract principles of a body of fact, a science, or an art Delusion - a false belief regarding the self or persons or objects outside the self that persists despite the facts and occurs in some psychotic states A theory is based on a fact. And there's again many third party evidence of Jesus Christ and his teachings. Not specifically that his teachings were true, that comes by faith, but the fact Jesus did exist and do as the scriptures say can be backed by many third party sources. So no, the scriptures in the bible are more in the theory area, then delusion. |
