Well don't you think it would be pretty obvious if you actually did meet in person and there's a 20 year difference in the age you are and the age you said you were?

Well, some people do look pretty good for their age. :P

But this person is saying they are 20 years OLDER than they really are.

I really don't know what his motive is, or I should say "was" because I have no tolerance for dishonesty.

Oh, well, some people as look pretty bad for their age. laugh

That kind of lie is simply a lack of intelligence. Not only why would someone do that, but how would they expect to get away with it, and for how long?

I think Motown is right on this one. It's the only logical explanation for such nonsense.

Actually it kinda makes sense, you're supposed to sell yourself on here. A lot of people have a misunderstanding that selling = BSing.

I consider myself to be a salesmen, so of course I don't think selling and BSing go together.

I consider myself a salesmen, because I literally sell stuff online.

It would make sense if people stayed anonymous, but that's not the case for many. There's no point in lying to get someone to meet you, because they're going to find out when they meet you.

You're welcome! :)

Your screen name makes me smile every time I see it.

We have a grey/white tuxed cat here, and his name is pixy. He's an outdoor cat who has had a bit of a rough life, being abused and abandoned as a kitten, since he's come here, he's been in many fights, still gets in a few here and there, but he's the most lovable cat ever, he's even sweet to the other cats and animals. All he wants is love and attention, but it seems like he just gets picked on for some reason. He's not a runt or anything, and takes care of himself. I actually feel safe with my little indoor cat here. I know Pixy would look after him if he ever got out. They've met with the screen door protecting my cat, and they'll sit side by side like friends, Pixy on the outside, and my cat inside. lol

He's a dear friend, I will miss him when he goes away.

Most people that lie a lot, don't think their lies through completely like that.\

For example, I know addicts who lie constantly, they'll tell the dumbest lies, only thinking in the moment, or maybe a few minutes ahead at most.

Its all a lie......actually its perspective....it's not necessarily a lie or misrepresentation......its your intake doesn't match there outtake and visa versa. Therefore, you see their version as a lie. likewise they see your version as you being a crazy psycho......see the pattern here.....it actually boils down to you are just not meant to be together.

yeah, sometimes feathers, wings, webbed feet, and a beak is not necessarily a duck. Then again, sometimes it is a lie, depends really.

When you say you're 20 years older than you really are, I'd call that a lie!

Someone who lies about what they look like, whether they're older or younger, their height and things like that must know these lies are going to be found out when first meeting.

Some people have an illness which causes them to lie compulsively. They can't help but lie.

hahaha, I was married to one of those. He would lie when it made no difference whatsoever what the answer was. He was a habitual liar.

Yeah, it's a part of some mental illnesses, sometimes they won't even notice when they're lying.
