Ok i thought there was a place for 'rants and raves'

So i just got my panties in bunch over comments to a post i just read and had my little venting session.

Why?

Why are people so judgmental? Especially when you don't have all the facts..WHY? You do know that your so called "opinions" can hurt right? My thing is, it is ok to have an opinion...You SHOULD have an opinion on your own, but don't be smart about your judgment. There are always two sides to a story, no matter what the situation is. Sometimes an outsiders perspective can be good, when once again YOU KNOW ALL THE FACTS. Idk...I guess it just made me mad cause i was in a situation and still kind of am with these haters that don't know me, the true story, or my situation but yet they spread their "opinion" to others about me which obviously isn't a very nice one. I'm a very open person, if you want to know something then just ask...dont make assumptions and then spread your infectious negativity to others just because you THINK you know what your talking about. Get a life and stay out of mine...especially since i didn't ask you for your opinion to begin with. UUGGGHHHHHH

Some people do intend to be mean and hurtful, but I think for the most part people do not intend to harm others. I think many have become desensitized/hardened to what may be hurtful or not and don't realize it. Also, not everyone is good with words or communicating, so that can be another reason.

Well thats mainly what i mean though...A person 'not realizing' or 'not knowing' but proceeding to open their mouth anyway. There is the saying 'always think before you speak' and it is true...It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know (generally speaking) that you should base any and ALL opinions or judgments on FACTS not what you THINK may have happened or what you THINK may be the situation. Idk...it just bugs me. I can accept that not everyone is good at communication, i am not the best at it either but i don't go around spreading ******** about a person when i don't have the first clue as to what I'm talking about.

I hear what you're saying. I wouldn't take anything people post too seriously though. If you find a post to be inappropriate, you can report it. They're good about taking care of that sort of thing here.

LoL nooo nooo its not that serious...it just sparked some anger about a situation that i was in. I just don't understand people sometimes i guess....nor do i understand why people have to be so judgmental.

And it isn't middle school stuff dear, its life. No matter what age you are there are always people that are judgmental and don't have a clue about what they are talking about.

Your problem is your not opinionated enough. My facebook friends number changes weekly because people get pissed off at what I have to say about their opinions on various subjects. I read what people write and logically it is simply ludacris and when I offer them a more reasonable opinion they try and fight me on it in which I write something completely absurd and eventually leads to their unfriending me. So if someone is pissing you off just get more opinionated or ridiculous. If you don't like my advice keep it to yourself.

When people post topics online, people will reply. You might like the responses and you might not.

I think a lot of times people are joking and it gets taken the wrong way though.

As far as 2 sides to the story....yes there are more than one side to a story but when people post a topic the readers only get one side of the story so that is what most go on.

If I give advice, I give it based on what the OP said. Please can take it how it is.

You have to have thick skin online and this is one of the nicer forum. I've seen others that are down right vile postings.
