So your plumbing is leaking and you call the only guy in town to fix it. You have to pay him up front for the work and when he's done, it's worse than when he began and he refuses to fix it. Maybe you wouldn't cuss him out. Maybe you wouldn't. I would be tempted to and if I was currently being screwed out of millions of dollars by a woman who broke my heart to get into my wallet, I probably would.

If you wouldn't then please contact the pope so he can get your paperwork for saint status started.

A boss getting pissed off at you is one thing. Cussing you out and acting unprofessionally is completely different.

So what we have is a guy yelling at his high paid employee who produced crappy work and the same guy complaining that some tramp used him and played with his heart in order to get rich. I honestly don't see the problem here. He was upset and he was vocal about it.

I have been in supervisor and management positions for years and no matter how mad an employee has made me I have never even raised my voice or used profanity twoards them.

thats commendable

I worked for three years in a place where the owner/boss spoke to people with profanity DAILY if they werent doing their job

Every company I have worked for has had a no tolorance policy for that. I have seen managers get fired for it.

Frankly, there is no need to talk to an employee like that and people who do have no business supervising someone.

in my case, the one who set policy WAS the one who spoke like that,, it was his company,, he was a hands on boss, there everyday working and overseeing things,,,(Except when away for business conventions)...

Does that make his behavior any better?

my personal opinion is that the behavior is not mature or responsible,,,but I also dont think its rare or illegal,,,especially if it is actually in private conversations between private parties,,,

in a non public space like a home,,,,

It's a choice. If you have a crappy boss and you aren't a slave, you have nothing to complain about.

Unfortunately, many can't just quit their job just because they don't like their boss. It would be nice if it were that easy, though!

What would stop them from applying for other jobs?

Not a thing. However, it's not as easy as just applying for jobs. If it were, there would not be so many people who are not employed. More people would like their jobs as well, if it were as easy as just quitting and applying for something new.

So what you are saying is that someone who has an unprofessional boss should just be happy to have a job.

What I'm saying is what I actually said. Please re-read it if you are confused.

Nothing is stopping them from looking for something new, as putting up with an unprofessional boss would be horrible. But, these days, it's not easy to change jobs. I wouldn't just quit a job because I was not happy without a new job already lined up.

I read what you posted and I wasn't confused by it, but I think you might be. When it's hard to get a job, anyone who has one should just be glad to be employed and not complain about their boss. You might not feel that way, but it's the way it is. I'm sure there are plenty of jobless people who would love to be cussed out by Mel Gibson while pulling down a ridiculously huge salary.

I like Mel Gibson movies. The guy is great. I can't think of a movie he has done that sucked.

I could care less about the nuances of political crap.

I would watch a Mel Gibson flick before I would waste my time with any movie that no one else here has bothered to make.

B!tching but...not actually doing.....That is easy.

I'm certainly not confused about what I said. I am also not going to tell people not to complain about their boss if they're horrible. Sometimes it helps to vent.

Mel Gibson was out of line and completely unprofessional. There's no doubt about that.

I agree, its never cliche to complain about abuse be it physical or verbal,,,,

a work environment should be about responsibility and compensation, not someones personal issues being taken out on others

BUT,,it is hard to find another job on a whim and so most (like I Did) stick it out,,,,,
