I was thinking about BBQing for the meet. Unless I do it in advance, it is over a 12 to 18 hour operation. I can do other things on the pit at the same time but that means I am glued to the pit. If ya'll want to rethink an option of being closer to me, I could cut the food costs by a bunch. Just a thought. Sounds good to me if ya think I would turn down your BBQ it would be like turning down Vivian's fudge or Glenda's potato salad .....hehehehehe 
We would need to find a place near ya let us know we are game....

Had lunch with an Aggie friend from out of town...we've known each other for more than 41 years...omgosh...is that even POSSIBLE?

Ended up visiting with a friend of mine I have not seen for a long time...worked with her for several years... and her daughter went to school with mine... not happy with the terms that brought us back together but yet it has made me do some deep thinking... If ya all could say a prayer for my friend Becky. Found out tonight she has cancer. She was told 8 months ago her cancer was in remission and should be for at least three years. She found out two months ago after only six months of remission it was back in her hip and spine... And on top of all that she is on the verge of loosing the house she has lived in for 16y years...

Ya know it really makes you realize how good you have it in. Just taking a shower for her is a chore since she does not have hand rails to help her get back up from her stool in the shower...
But amazing how high her spirits are we sat and laughed and remembered about old times... A friendship that has been re-kindled she is an amazing person... |
