Anyone else have it happen to them on this site? Woman comes on strong, says everything you want to hear, somehow manages to get into your life, then turns out to be a liar cheatt and thief. I met a woman on this site who did this...and I know at least 3 other women she did it to as well...How do you protect yourself?

All you can do is pay attention to what they say...be careful of info you share.... remember that no matter how much you talk to someone on here, until you have met face to face, you actually don't know who you have been speaking to..and if they scam you on this site...report them immediately.
Byw....welcome to the site....and hang out in the forums...you get to know people and the good ones all hang out there

away until you know them well. The internet is great for this. As much or as little contact as you choose. Take some time. You are armed with experience now. |

If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. One thing to watch for is a request for you personal email address. If this hsppens, especially shortly after enountering this person, you can be pretty sure you've enountered someone you'd really rather not know. I've encounterd two such "women" in the past few days alone. |
