President Obama has found someone new to blame for his failures: the Founding Fathers - those brave men who fought a war to free America from Great Britain, and establish a republic based on a constitution that is still the envy of the world.

In a video posted Monday at Townhall, Obama told Matt Lauer that people are frustrated because he has not been able to "force Congress to implement every aspect of" his radical agenda.

"Our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes,” he said.

But he promised to keep "plodding away, very persistent."

"And, you know what? One of the things about being President is you get better as time goes on," he added.

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/02/good-grief-obama-blames-the-founding-fathers-for-his-failures-video/

Barry needs to learn to take responsibility and not play the blame game. With this clown everything is everyone else's fault.

Hell, I even heard that Barry was so livid at his staff members after the Haiti earthquake that he almost fired the all. The reason he was so mad is they couldn't come up with a way to blame it on President Bush.laugh

He said "And, you know what? One of the things about being President is you get better as time goes on," how come he hasn't gotten any better? laugh rofl laugh

...so again, I ask.
Since I was persecuted the first time I said it..

What's it truly matter who the president is?
Why vote for him?

You just re-stated what I emphasized in another thread.

Why should I vote simply for a stupid figurehead?

Thousands died for the freedom for me to vote..
..but vote for what?

I got verbally molested when I stated he was useless..
..but now since it's against Obama..

Suddenly, it's hilarious?

Nice.

Side note.

I do think it's rather dumb you believe it to be hilarious that a group bent on corruption and greed hold a firm control over the government simply because of your burning hatred for Obama.

You want to single out Obama for his 'changes' yet, at the same time, did Congress not also agree with those thing passed? Or do you simply pick and choose when to chastise Barry?

If something is now, he wasn't the only one to have a hand in it.

It goes for both good and bad laws.

So, you're statement:

"Barry is always looking to blame someone."
Is truly hypocritical.

Since you are always looking to single out the blame on 'one person'.

What are you talking about?!

A 'slave' just became president.
White people are getting passed over on jobs simply because of being white because some companies and corps need a certain amount of minorities in their company to 'stay off the radar'.

Proof: My mom got passed on the job of her dreams to a guy that lacked: A Bachelor's Degree, 5+ years experience, and several certifications.
Call those minor equators missing in the equation?

Women are everywhere these days. From lawyer firms to high political offices. They can vote, do as they see fit, etc.

So, who are you to say things haven't worked out for them?

Last I checked a decent majority of rich people are female, black, and even a mixture of the two.

Now as for Gays...

They use the constitution more than any other type of people.

"Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Expression."

You have your rainbow parades, and your gay film festivals (Not a shot, that's the name).

...what more do you 'people' want..?

You want a million dollars just cause your gay?

Get a f***ing job and make it.
That's the constitution at work.
Think it'll be handed to you just cause your gay?!
We'd ALL be gay.

Our founding fathers were idiots, they started a war because they got pissed off at England for taxing them cause England wanted money for helping out in the French/Indian War.So England taxed tea and alcohol.Well that was the icing on the cake.Funny thing is,something you'll never see in the American History books,is that when the war was over this country needed money,it was broke and guess what was taxed....Yep tea and alcohol.

But our founding fathers did free the colonies from Monarchy rule.

...um, there were more reasons than that, you know.

Not just tax, tea, and alcohol.

Even the whole 'taxation without representation' you speak of isn't the same.

They were ticked because of being taxed, heavily, without someone to represent them. You see our political state these days?

Tons of Senators and Congressmen. Thus, it's Taxation WITH Representation. Which, in fact, is very different. Especially since you are comparing us now to modern day taxation methods.

Not to mention, the actual reason behind the taxes was differing.
From my understanding; England did it to make themselves richer.
Americas did it so they, as a nation, had more money.

I'm sure you can see the difference in that.

Furthermore...

At these times the 'American Colonies' were still actually a part of England. It was, originally, the reason the colonies had a major issue with the French. Back home, in England, James II and the French were at each other's throats for control over Europe. That feud began to spill out into the colonies.

Topped with religious ideals, those for and opposing slavery (like the Quakers, for example). It was a very hectic place.

For example, in 1700, Massachusetts forged a law that forced ALL Catholic priests to leave the colony within 3 months, or face execution. Soon after New York would do the same; Religious Freedom.. ever hear of that? Well, the Founding Fathers will in a few more years..

1702 Queen Anne's War. I won't go into details, but again, this created much destruction between the colonies and their allies... This war, for the next 11 years.

1739 Again, England declares war on Spain. Hostilities broke out between Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.

1754 French Indian War. Hey, isn't that the dude from the One dollar bill?

So, before I do an entire history lesson..

What did this teach us?

England was going through it's own course of drastic changes.

Their proclamation of 'we want independence simply because you tax too much' is far from the truth.

The freedom to practice your own religion.
Most of the earliest wars were actually between Catholics and the Non.

There were, in fact, several major reasons the Revolutionary War started. Not simply 'taxes'.

what i mean by idiots it's fighting a war cause of certain taxes and turn around and tax the same thing after the war,oh you're right they aren't idiots i meant hypocrites,so the moral of the story is hypocrisy has been going on in this country for along time.

Thought our system is terribly corrupt, the structure is still in place that would allow us to 'fix' everything.

Even today, taxation is done with the 'consent of the governed' in the same 'representational democracy' sense. If you don't like taxes, vote for congresspeople who consistently vote to reduce spending.

Ron Paul 2012.
man there isn't one government around the world thats perfect, well maybe the Luxembourg monarchy and the Trinidad/Tobago government, but minus them the rest of the world is imperfect politically.I'm not antifounding fathers,it's just kind of funny that even though the taxes on alcohol and tea weren't the only thing to cause the war,it did fuel the fire, but when the war was over tea and alcohol had to be taxed anyways.

..it was why they were being taxed.

Not simply because they were being taxed.

Ironic. Hilarious, yes.

SO, he does know, he, like I, just think it's funny.

However, the reason for the taxes was, at the time, for different purposes.

I havent read anything about Patriot Act needing further action, even when reading the bill summary at the government site

Id be interested in a documented account of it being revisited and re signed by OBama,,,,

along with what other details were in the bill that would have been VETOED if it had not passed,,,,

PATRIOT Act Reauthorization Makes Deadline

By John Stanton and David M. Drucker

After two days of wrangling and last-minute deal-making in the Senate, Congress cleared a reauthorization of the USA PATRIOT Act on Thursday, and the Obama administration announced that the president signed the bill into law before provisions of the anti-terrorism act expired at midnight.

A standoff over amendments in the Senate ate into the time needed to fly the enrolled bill to President Barack Obama, who is traveling in Europe. Instead of physically signing the bill, Obama planned to direct the use of an autopen to sign it, White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said in an email shortly after the House cleared the bill.

“Failure to sign this legislation poses a significant risk to U.S. national security,” Shapiro said in the email.

Autopens generate a facsimile of an individual’s signature and are frequently used by Members of Congress for signing constituent correspondence and other letters. The Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel advised in 2005 that the president may sign a bill by autopen.

Obama signed the bill into law Thursday night, according to a White House statement released shortly before midnight. It did not mention the autopen.

I have read it,doesn't mean it's abide by.State and local laws abolish most of it.See i'm more patriotic of the world not just one country.I can't say this is the best country cause i haven't lived in others, but i can safely type i think the USA is a tad bit better than let's go with...North Korea.

Furthermore...

"There was a brief moment when civil libertarians were stunned to see President Barack Obama actually take a stand in favor of civil liberties after years to rolling back on basic rights of citizens and moving beyond the Bush Administration in building up the security state. Obama said that he would veto the defense bill that contained a horrific provision for the indefinite detention of American citizens. While many predicted it, Obama has now again betrayed the civil liberties community and lifted the threat of the veto. Americans will now be subject to indefinite detention without trial in federal courts in a measure supported by both Democrats and Republicans. It is a curious way to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the Bill of Rights."

That was written by a journalist, Dec. 11th, 2011.

Apparently signing it made him not only a hypocrite off the bat, but, apparently if he had not signed it, it would have left the part out about US Citizens receiving the same despicable treatment as foreign terrorists.

After 9/11, politicians seemed far too giddy if you ask me to go to war with Iran. The US has been proclaiming for over 30 years that Iran has nuclear ability and power. So, where is it?

After 9/11, if took the government, what was it? 20 days to pass the Patriot Act originally? Seriously, 20 days?!

The Patriot Act, despite being written 20 years earlier and waiting for the chance to come into light, is an act of treason in itself.

While it shouldn't have been written originally, nor passed, it shouldn't have been re-signed despite changes or otherwise.

..if we had Afghani, German, or even Russian military bases across our country; do you think it's that horrid of an outcry to ask them to be removed?

Well, that's what provoked the effin' war. Arrogance.

So, Bama may be better than Bush.. but not by much.

I'm not a history expert, but my understanding is that it was not about being taxed, it was about being taxed without representation. It was about being forcibly taxed by a distant government that spent that money on another continent, with no means of influencing how that money was spent.

One sentence does not dictate blaming founding fathers if anything hes blaming congress

"Our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes,” he said.

Sounds like he's blaming the forefathers to me!

blaming them for what?

For making it harder for him to be a dictator.

whoa whoa oh yeah,, Obama the dictator who has gotten a congress vowed to oppose him do so much of what he proposed,,,,

He just comes up with new ways to circumvent Congress anyways. The guy is as close to a full on dictator that we have ever seen.

This is exactly why I compared him to Hitler months ago.

I don't think so. Actually if Romney get's the nomination the maybe Obama will win. If Pau gets the nomination(Which will NEVER happen) Obama would definately win. If Santorum gets the nomination Obama is done and if Gingrich gets the nomination I think Obama would be done too.

His approval rating is to low when he is running for re-election. No sitting President has EVER won re-election with approval ratings as low as Obama has now.

He's destroying our bill of rights and our constitution, I'd say he was blaming the founding fathers indeed!

A Muslim trying to tear apart America and it's laws MUST be difficult (thank goodness!)!

bill of rights and constitution are still in order,

of course, sometimes amendments make sense or other wise the civil rights era would never have happened,,,,

people do remember the constitution was created as a 'living' document that was free to be amended,,,,dont they?

Bill or rights and constitution still intact?!?!?!?!?!?!

Then how do you explain the patriot act and the NDAA?

how are those the responsibility of OBAMA when they were crafted and imposed before he came to office?

Because he could have gotten rid of them the day he took office, just like all of the other promises he made that he didn't keep during the campaign.
