Topic: Obama Now Blames The Founding Fathers! | |
---|---|
There are many people of principle in both parties in America, but there is no party of principle. They're a bunch of yo-yos. The presidency is now a cross between a popularity contest and a high school debate, with an encyclopedia of cliches the first prize. There is no 'party of principle' , is an intellectually honest statement. Because parties are made of millions of people and I doubt we will find a group of humans that large who are all principled. I think the odds are some will have principles and some wont, but those who wish to get to a certain position have to know how to get there before they can ever have the necessary authority to have the impact they seek,,,, The Spook who sat by the door, learning how those who would crush you work, get close to them, and you have a better chance of changing things from within than as an outsider,,,,,its the unfortunate reality very often |

If the people do this... Switch to (insert expensive bill here). If the people react that way... (dust of that old unpatriotic retoric and insert expensive bill here). Yet it becomes a transparent farce... Cause when you look back to previous political contests THEY ALL STILL USE THE OLD PLAYBOOKS. The sleeping giant is awake. I can't wait till it stands up. |

I havent read anything about Patriot Act needing further action, even when reading the bill summary at the government site Id be interested in a documented account of it being revisited and re signed by OBama,,,, along with what other details were in the bill that would have been VETOED if it had not passed,,,, This may be related: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/27/patriot-act-extension-signed-obama-autopen_n_867851.html |

Our founding fathers were idiots, they started a war because they got pissed off at England for taxing them cause England wanted money for helping out in the French/Indian War.So England taxed tea and alcohol.Well that was the icing on the cake.Funny thing is,something you'll never see in the American History books,is that when the war was over this country needed money,it was broke and guess what was taxed....Yep tea and alcohol.
But our founding fathers did free the colonies from Monarchy rule. |

One sentence does not dictate blaming founding fathers if anything hes blaming congress "Our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes,” he said. Sounds like he's blaming the forefathers to me! blaming them for what? Blaming them for making it difficult to turn our country into a Socialist one. |

But our founding fathers did free the colonies from Monarchy rule. The revolutionaries were not fighting to end taxation, and they never claimed to be. They were fighting for many reasons, and their main anti-tax sentiment was summarized with the slogan: "No taxation without representation" Taxing tea and alcohol after the war was in no way hypocritical, as this was done with the consent of the governed. |

But our founding fathers did free the colonies from Monarchy rule. Thought our system is terribly corrupt, the structure is still in place that would allow us to 'fix' everything. Even today, taxation is done with the 'consent of the governed' in the same 'representational democracy' sense. If you don't like taxes, vote for congresspeople who consistently vote to reduce spending. Ron Paul 2012. |

Getting ready to tax sugar? |

The Founding Fathers freed everybody but the slaves. Some of them tried... But Society was not mature enough to accept that. Then. |
