[qse] So, you can blow up people, rape, steal have affairs, kill, swear and all the other stuff and you'll still end up in heaven? Yes. Even if you kill someone you will get to heaven eventually. Are you a war vet? Most likely you killed someone if you are, even unkowingly. Should a war vet go to hell? Hypocritical! If I protected my country and someone got killed should I go to hell? Should I be mad at the guy who killed one of my platoon buddies? No. I dont think so. Im Catholic and we all born into sin dude. We all go to heaven, some just get there a bit slower. Try reading a few books and educate yourself. May I suggest reading about "Old Souls". Your a young soul, and so am I. I dont care what your faith is. We all eventually get to heaven. Case closed bro!....and who doesnt swear? What are you the Pope? JHC dude! It was a question dude! I don't need to read books, I've watched the life of Brian many times, it's given me all I need to know for the real world. If I wanted to live in fantasy land then maybe I'll start reading! If people were more concerned with what's happening around them instead of above them then the world would be a better place. the bible and heaven have a few loop holes,it seems... The bible will only have loopholes in the eyes of those who don't understand its contents or have willfully refused to believe its contents. |

I do based on personal experiences i have had plus researching on parapsychology/psyhical research how about you? Good for u as long as it makes u happy and satisfies ur thrist for living forever. I really wish it was true so i could believe in it and probably those who first came up with the idea felt the same way. It's totally natural to grow the tendency to believe in things based on our desires and built-in insticts. All living organisms do their best to survive and human beings are not an exception but humans are different since they're self-conscious. They can think, imagine, solve complicated problems, or reach conclusions. The only solution so far that helped humans survive the bitter truth of being gone forever is life after death. Soon humans will come up with a new solution, that I'm sure of, that's a pity though that it probably won't be in our time. |

Yes I do, but to get to eternity you have to get it right. God watches you and if you dont get it right then you should know by understandng he things that you have done wrong. Sooo,,,you will come back(reincarnated),,and try again.
You should know if your a young soul if your self aware, but an older soul may not because they are perfect. Theres a few good books on this and I would recommend the one called "Old Souls". f you want an example of an aging soul look at Malala. She was so young when she was shot and left for dead by the Taliban,,but look how she recovered and the good she is doing now and her kindness. She has an older soul that is getting her closer to her God. My soul is still young because I understand that I am imperfect in behavior....so I have to come back and do it all over again. Its a cycle. Many of us Christians refer to it as Purgatory. That what it is. We get trapped in the middle for a bit, then we come back to do it right. It may take a few years or centuries, but we all get it right to be with our God that we believe. As a Catholic,,,THIS is what religion is to me and the eternal. I do not believe there is a Hell, and there are No virgins waiting for anyone. This is the cycle of life, love and religion too me. |

This is from another reply that also has significance to this OP:
My 'belief' in God stands with my understanding of The Universe and the reality in which I exist. Do you recall Crom, the God of Conan the Barbarian (Crom exists but does not interfere). God is the essence of life in the Universe that exists in opposite of natural decay. God is also the essence of decay. This is the same essence that exists in the Chaos and the Order of the Universe. God is not a puppeteer at the individual level. All parts of the Universe are pieces of the whole. God is however, aware of everything because being the Universe and everything is within the Universe any awareness is the Universe aware. Existence is a series of random chaotic events set in motion at the instant of creation. The God part is the essence that became aware and affected a change - Religion says "Let There Be Light". Science says Big Bang. God is the Essence of both in that the Universe changed from static to not static. Over time, chaos created understanding within the Universe (God) and it became aware of itself and that it has definition. The essence of the Universe is energy. Matter is made up of energy. Life is a form of energy. Over time, Every thing in the Universe, living or not will convert back to its baseline form, which is energy. Some forms of energy are released back into the Universe rapidly and some take eons to be released. As we die. Our "Soul" (Life Essence) is released back into the Universe. That energy merges with the baseline energy of the Universe. In a way, it can be likened to going back to God. Energy cannot be created or destroyed in this Universe because the Universe is made of energy. Even our bodies will someday be returned to the energy of the Universe as the matter converts back to energy. The Universe recycles the energy as it exists. The energy that was once "me" is merged with the energy of the Universe (God) and is reborn to a new form/forms of matter. Not in whole but in part. Sorta like pouring a glass of water into the ocean. The water that was once in the glass is never fully recaptured back into the glass no matter how hard you try. Given the age and expanse of the Universe these time periods can be fathomed as eternity. While eternity is relative to the observer since the Universe is the Essence of everything it is the Alpha and the Omega. Alpha being the first spark of energy created and Omega being the final spark of energy at the end. God (The Universe) is not based on human concepts like salvation, divine or damned. Human concepts are based on our impression of the nature of the Universe as we see it. As we learn to understand the Universe better, we in turn understand ourselves. Since we are the Universe, our understanding is the Universe also understanding. The Universe is diverse. The Universe is huge. Chances are very good that there are life forms in this Universe that understand better than us. Those life forms might present to us as divine intervention releasing concepts to help us understand ourselves and our part in the whole. We call these divine interventions religion sometimes. This is because we haven't actually figured out what is evident around us. We are still trying to understand. Its possible that other forms of life are not clouded by reasoning. That a plant, a bacterium, an insect or another animal may understand what we can't understand because we have made it complicated by intelligence. We have isolated our Universal Harmony with reason and questions. Some religions mark Knowledge as the "forbidden fruit". Some religions tell us to seek harmony with God. In a way, it is correct. The Knowledge is a need for understanding. The Question must be asked and answered. Harmony is the act of no longer needing confirmation of truths. It is alignment. Religions ask us to "believe" but restrict our levels of belief to the parameters those specific religions set. Reality requires no justification. The Universe requires no justification. It is all right there in the open for all to experience. The unity is there. The harmony is there. We just can't experience it because WE are making it complicated. |

Jesus Christ's death on the cross(for the sins of the world),resurrection on the third day and ascension is a proof of life after death.
Yes, it is, if reading and digesting a directed accounting of an event in the past is proof. Did you know that people in older times placed a bell in the coffin with someone who died? Do you know why modern undertakers embalm the dead? It was found that sometimes people can be declared dead and buried but they are still alive. They awake sealed in a tomb (casket) and unless someone frees them from that tomb, they truly do die, in horror. this light can only be accessed through faith that comes through understanding of the bible by a sincere seeker .
I understand the concept. I also understand how sincerity of belief can cloud reason. Faith is sincerity of belief. I can have faith that where I live there will not be a hurricane. I can sincerely believe I am safe from the storm. If a storm hits my home, I can justify my belief using any rationalizing reasons as long as I continue my faith. My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the central figure of the bible.
Certainly, but the message is as series of rules and regulations defining rewards and penalties for non-compliance. The justification contradicts the message within its passages. The reader is left with conflict and apprehension unless they choose to blindly accept conscription to its intent. The gospels of Mathew,Mark,Luke and John , bore historical account of this great Person
They Do. There are a multitude of written accountings of many great persons in history. All of which are subject to the reader's specification of what makes them great. The gospel of John talks about his divinity.
So it does. There is also a gospel of Hitler, a gospel of Martin Luther King, a gospel of Donald Trump, and a lot of divine people of history. They are slanted to promote a message. Gospels are written to promote the sanctity of an individual in such a way as to make them more than the reality. They depend on the gullibility of the reader to contribute to the legend. Further Jewish historians like Josephus testified about him.
Okay At one time, tobacco representatives testified that cigarettes were safe. Liars testify all the time. I'm not saying Joe was a liar, I just suggest that he may have been beguiled by the legend. Anytime there is a written accounting of specific events and beliefs there is also a "Behind the Scenes" accounting that is not presented to the record. Faith requires that the accounting is believed to be accurate and complete. Faith ignores conflicts in the accounting and never questions it. If one reads the accounting without the prescribed faith, they see those conflicts and question the source's validity. A tremendous amount of delusion is required for one that sees the conflict to acquire the faith needed to propagate the myth. When the myth is challenged by reason. The faithful will argue using the words of the accounting as proof instead of presenting a sound example. This creates a conflict in the persuasion method that resounds with the non-believer as gibberish. Which further exemplifies non-belief. "This book tells everyone how to live, think and feel." "Oh, it does eh?" "Yes, if you turn to page ... and read passage ... it tells you how you should believe." "So it does, but that really doesn't apply to me and my life, thoughts and feelings." "Well, you are wrong. If you turn to page ... and read passage ... it tells you what you must do so it will apply." "I don't want to." "Well, on page ... passage ... it tells you that you will have to pay the consequences for non-compliance." "This is just a bunch of gibberish, I'm done with this nonsense." |

I believe we are all a part of one big thing. The one big thing will always be there no matter what happens. Any spirit we experience in life we will know to exist in heaven. The way we experience spirit is by religion.

The exact nature of how Christ rose from the dead is not the important meaning. The Holy Spirit.
