I think (age) requirements are a slammed door.
I would rather see who walks through it
than forever wonder after.

good point

I think when I second guess myself because of a man's age (within reason) I need to start asking myself what it is I am afraid of

but honestly souf, as often as not he & I are not wanting the same things - younger men are often not ready to settle down into coupledom

Everyone has preferences, whether it's age, looks or something else. We have to with what works for us. What works for you may not work for someone else.

What's your preferred age range for dating? I have never really considered dating anyone more than 5 years younger than me, but I wonder if I am eliminating too many people. I mean, if one of my best friends can be in a relationship with someone so much younger and make it work...maybe.

I just worry that there are too many stages in life and if two people are not in those same stages it could cause a lot of problems.

When I was dating it was 10 years either side of my age.

I get younger guys interested but I always feel like they will lose interest because of my age - or I will because of theirs.

Exactly how I feel as well.

My PREFERENCE is up to 6-7 years younger and only 2-3 older, but that is certainly not set in stone. However, I would have to say I do set a limit on anyone much more than 15 years younger. I just have that fear that one day they'll wake up and see this old lady and poof, they're gone!

You can't see through a solid door.

What you can't see, don't know exists.

So either way, you are a winner.

It's the guy who is out in the cold
and cruel world longing for some warmth
inside, usually behind closed doors,
who is to be wondered about, how he
survives and... why actually.

When I was dating it was 10 years either side of my age.

That's the spirit! Flanked by a nineteen-year-old on one side, and a thirty-nine year old on the other side.

You little sexy devil, you.

Next month I'll be 50. My girlfriend is 21. We've been together for almost 2 years. There have been some problems, but they had nothing to do with age. We're very happy with one another and plan on staying together for the foreseeable future.

However, if something were to happen and we split up, I'd be looking for another woman in her late teens or early 20s. Maybe I'm ahead of my time or maybe I just never grew up. Or maybe I just like the way a firm, young body feels wrapped around me.

I also have to admit that I enjoy being seen with a young, beautiful woman. Other men give me a smile and nod or their they're jealous.I just feel good holding her hand.

Perhaps you should just say "living and legal".

The oldest I have dated was probably...well it wasn't 5 more like 8. It was a struggle to find things to talk about. Besides I think he just wanted to get lucky. Shocking? No, just annoying.

It's about emotional security so anyone who has developed that is an option....that does come with age and experience, generally.

The opportunity to date much older or much younger has never presented itself, not really.

I don't really have any set limits. If it works, it works. I'd never turn something that worked away just because the numbers don't match.

as long as they are old enough so that Chris Hansen from Dateline NBC to catch a child predator doesn't jump from behind one curtain

and as long as they are young enough so that The Grim Reaper doesn't jump from behind the other curtain
