I'm hoping to move abroad, either September/October or November. (this will depend on my graduation ceremony)

As most of you are from US or Canada, any thoughts/opinions on this?? RE: Easy to find work, People, Expensive to live, Night Life etc etc...

We can trade places. Win win situation.

Anyway, personally, I feel they both have plenty to offer. I would do some research on what truly interests you and what you feel is important, and go with where it seems better. Just don't come to the U.S. for health care. flowerforyou

Cool, I'll pack my bags so. It'll be like that move ''The Holiday'' with Kate Winslet & Cameron Diaz laugh

I think Oz is out of the equation any ways, don't think my certificates will be recognised over there, plus it would be like going on a very long holiday id soon get bored of that. Canada/US seem to have plenty of job opportunities so it'll be one or the other..

Thanks for your comments flowerforyou

I have asked loads of friends, and they all said they would go but they won't set a date/month. I mean how long is a piece of string?! Screw that I'm outta here straight after graduation. I'll never leave if I have to hang around waiting on others.

The US is no country for an old man. Dangers: Weapons, the law, lots of drugs, no real socialized medicine.

Advantages: lots of money, better jobs for immigrants, which are also easier to get. Houses dirt cheap, almost.

Canada: too cold, not enough jobs for everyone, people are rather stand-offish in big cities. Distances huge. If you enjoy prospecting or just being confined to an isolated, desolute spot for ten months of the year, there is the great white North.

Advantages: don't have to work as hard and as many hours as in America in any professional or office-type job. Lots of medicare, for free. Really hard to get a job, even for professionals, and especially for immigrants. No crime, almost. In small town people are friendly. In my town the ratio of very good looking people over the total population in this city is the highest overall in canada. Men don't talk, women do, it's a women-driven society. Snow, snow, snow.

Australia: Other than the weather being too nice, I don't know much about it. You must know that it's more secular than North America, women are more straightforward (in a nice way), less spoiled, and very good looking. There is more self-satisfaction for women in Oz than in North America, and I don't know why.

Food is only good in large cities in most countries, with a large variety. Otherwise it's pub fare, greasy-spoon restaurant fare, chain restaurants, and dying of exposure. DOE - official expression to describe not surviving the being outside for too long non-stop. DOE may mean death by starvation, dehydration, freezing, exhaustion,

top ten reasons chloe23irish should move to texas:

10. awesome state motto, "don't mess with texas"

9. everything is bigger in texas

8. you get to say "howdy" instead of boring old "hello"

7. texas has there own hand sign (like two fingers raised for "v", well texas has the thumb and pinkie fingers spread out for longhorns)

6. if you don't like the weather in texas, wait 5 minutes and it will change

5. no chance of texas sliding into the gulf of mexico EVER (because oklahoma sucks)

4. every texas basketball team has at least one championship ring (take that california)

3. state flag has the same three colors as the united states flag (easy to remember)

2. BBQ, that's right, bar-b-que

and the top reason for chloe23irish to move to texas

your presence here will beautify the state

Sounds like a cool place. What's the population? I'm from a big enough town but it's a place where everybody knows everybody and your business too. Hows the current job situation? I loved basketball in school but after school there are no women's teams only men. BBQ's are cool too, we'd be lucky to have ONE during summer as our weather here is so bad. I say Howdy all the time when I text or Bonjour sometimes. Good job ese, you did Texas proud flowerforyou
