I think it should not matter either way.

It should not but vanity is the prime feature happenin in today's world. The important thing is we have to do is to love ourselves just the way we are.

The short answer is always.

hahaha
Am going to have to go with
the short answer :-)

Ditto...........goes both ways......

While true. Don't want a slob. Something healthy is more ideal. Toned to me is NEVER a turn on. Some peeps take it to extremes. I'd never date a gym addict.

i remember seeing a car that said 'no fat chicks' huuuuuge on the rear window.
stupid guy driving it, no?
but then i thought;
wouldn't it be nice if everyone was that honest?
easy to weed em out.

even without the signs we know what a man is thinking.

I have a question for the men out there. Does a womens weight make a difference to you? What do you prefer?

From my own experience, it depends on the guy. I'm not a skinny woman and I've had no trouble finding men who were ok with that. But, there will always be men who are only into skinny women.

I feel sorry for the male mind sometimes. What it must be like to live in such a vapid waste space. Its laughable what's considered beautiful these days.

Yep, that is so true. We also all can't be 19 again but that seems to be the next biggest thing besides looking for skinny. sigh

Yeah funny how their minds work sometimes. The guys themselves are overweight yet have the nerve to make fun of an overweight woman. mad

The first man I went on a date from here was heavy. It didn't matter to me but he kept insisting that it had to bother me. I used to be heavy and I know that I am the same person today that I was then-just thinner. In the end he said that he wasn't attracted to me because I wasn't "petite" enough. I accepted that and we became good friends. He got to know me and started to like me more. However, I had moved past the thought of a relationship with him. I was in the friend zone. We have been friends for over a year and I have met someone I care for deeply. The first guy recently told me that he wishes he could go back to the beginning and start over.

I don't know how things would have been had he looked past what he thought he wanted. I do know that if we base what we want strictly on appearance we can miss out on someone that would make us happy.

I don't know.. I find more and more lately who don't want the skinny little women. Sure, some will always want that, but many don't. And what's considered beautiful to one is going to mean something else to a different person. We all have preferences. There's nothing wrong with that.

Some do, some don't! Some have an extreme disgust towards heavier people and some actually have a fetish for being with larger men/women. All you need is one person to accept you for who you are to be happy...yourself flowerforyou

Weight does matter. I don't want to have to worry about my friends, or girlfriends health. I want to be surrounded by people who want to take care of themselves. A few extra pounds are no big deal, I have that myself but you can't give up on making yourself as healthy as you can.

You're picky about the weight of your friends as well?

I wouldn't say picky. I just want the ones I care about to be healthy so they are around a long time. Plus my friends help me stay in check about my weight. Ive let myself go to far before and they helped me out of that struggle, by helping me stay active. I care about my friends and owe them more than I could ever repay

That's cause men like themselves the way they are. Most anyway. Seriously, ladies should NOT feel so threatened. It keeps you from living and some good opportunities out there.

Eye of the beholder thing again. Beauty should always be subjective. You never know these days is all I'm saying what constitutes as appealing. Personally I always viewed "sexy" and "attractive" as feelings, an inner more than an outer of self worth. I wish more women saw this.

Dinopoodle shows a lot of courage posting this thread along with her picture. Having said that, I don't find overweight women physically attractive. It's not healthy. I don't ever put anyone down for being overweight, beacause there are those with medical conditions that make it very difficult for them to maintain a healthy weight. For most of us though, it's just a matter of reforming our diets and getting in a little exercise. Being healthy is the key thing.
