1.Of the constitutional authority given the president, his primary role is leading the troops, whom I happen to believe have had a pretty good success record under that leadership

2. As 'head' of the country, I also believe it is important what image a President creates and maintains INTERNATIONALLY, by how he carries and presents himself and how he deals with others

on this front, he has also been very successful increasing the world opinion of our US president tremendously, carrying himself with professionalism, dealing with others with intelligence and diplomacy,,,,

3. As a personal preference, because of the status of the office, I do want someone less likely to fall over dead so I like a healthy candidate , of which he seems fittest.

4. Back to that 'intelligent' thing,, he also seems to have other candidates beat (in my opinion)

and last but not least

5. SANITY, being that a president has limited power behind congress , I do want the hope that he has similar attitudes and ideas (and that he has some IDEAS rather than just critiques of everyone elses) for the country I would like to live in. IF he is able to get support of congress, great, but if he isnt at least the odds were increased by having SOMEONE in government trying to push those ideas.

". . . his primary role is leading the troops . . ." how can you be a great leader if you have no experience? That's like having an Indy 500 trophy and never have driven an Indy car.

I, too, will be casting my vote to re-elect President Obama, and I would encourage anyone who values the middle class to do the same. He's an intelligent man who appears to want the same things for our country that I do. There really is an unheslty disparity in wealth in the US. I remember when the top American earners were taxed at a 90% rate, and well still had the weathiest people in the world along with a thriving middle class. We still have the wealthiest people in the world, but the middle class if failing.

Picture america as a room full of one hundred people and between them all there is one hundred dollars.

One of those people will have forty five dollars a couple will have ten the rest will have whats left over.

Who do you think controls that room?

Its not the person the bottom tier elects.

Its that simple.

It realy does not matter who we elect and the elections are a charade as Obama has continued the agend of the economic elite.

Support the 99% its your best hope for a better america.

as opposed to wasting time trying to fight a congress that primarily is gonna do what it wants and fight with him every step of the way

or impeding the success of 99 out of 100 other items in the bill that need to be implemented

and stalling the opportunity for other things to be addressed during that 'stand off' that the congress loves to create so much,,,

I will vote Obama but I will know that wont be the end of it. I will continue to look towards the 99% and hope they gain in numbers and influence.

I do not think the elite controled media and republican party will allow Ron Paul to get the nomination they either will manipulate the voters and if that does not work they will simply steal another election.

All the mechanisms for a brutal police survalience state are in place and its not there to promote democracy its far from it.

Twas an Occupy Christmas, when all through Zuccotti
Not a creature was stirring, not even the naughty.
Their demands were all sorted and stacked with care,
In hopes that Obama Claus soon would be there.

The Progs lay smug in their makeshift beds,
While hopes of entitlements danced in their heads.
Adorned by those cool proletarian caps,
Most had to sleep near where Comrades had crapped.

When somewhere nearby there arose such a clatter,
They sprang to the street to see what was the matter.
And straight to the barricade bound'ries they dashed,
In hopes their dealer had brought some more hash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to the filth below.
Then what to their wandering eyes grew near,
A red-suited man in a limo appeared.

He was pulled by eight donkeys so stubborn and slow,
They knew twas Obama Claus promising dough.
'Cross Broad Street to Wall St. while braying they came,
Spurred-on by Obama Claus calling their names!

"On, Reid, on, Pelosi, on Fannie and Fred,"
"On, Biden, on Holder, on Geitner," he said.
"On, Barney, once more to the street known as Wall,
Or rejoin the ***** I keep in the stall."

Since Globalized Warming makes hurricanes fly,
Just carbonless footprints they left in the sky.
As bounding they did over Wall Street they flew,
The limousine with cash and Obama Claus too.

And then, in a twinkling, they saw and approved,
The prancing and pawing once deemed so uncouth.
On stopping, Obama Claus then turned around,
And out of the limo he hopped with a bound.

Dressed all in red from his head to his foot,
With hammer and sickle he then undertook.
To break into homes of the One-Percent hacks,
To then redistribute their stuff to his pack.

His eyes how they twinkled! His smile was so merry!
So cheeky his visage, so quickly he hurried.
His hair changed by worries of needing more votes,
From vibrantly dark to the whiteness of snow.

His favorite cigarette clenched in his teeth,
Sent smoke he'd exhaled 'round his head like a wreath.
The broad smile he shows belies fire in his belly,
For class-warfare slogans for chanting and yelling.

Not chubby or plump and thus pleased with himself,
To work he proceeded with help from his elves.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Made clear Occupiers had nothing to dread.

He spoke the word "fair" in describing his work,
In taking the stocks from the one-percent jerks.
Then laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, over Wall Street he rose.

He sprang to his rig, to his team gave a whistle,
And over Wall launching goodies like missles.
They heard him exclaim as he flew out of sight,
"My redistribution makes everything right!"

I wouldnt think that, as our rights are constantly interpreted by the courts of our country and will continue to be,,

I would think though, that prioritizing time and issues is a difficult but necessary part of heading a company, a househould, or a country,,,

I can tell you that experience trumps intelligence alone any day. Would you rather have a person say, "I read this in a book and the book tells me it will happen like this." Or, "I've done this before, and this is what will happen." Not to say intelligence is not a great asset, but I feel you need experience to go along with it to really be effective. But that's why there are advisers I suppose.

I agree with that but wether the elimination of the middle class happens slow (dems) or fast (republicans) the end is the same.

I think the issues transend typical politics and america is in a race to the bottem by design or accident and while we are falling its foolish to cut the social saftey nets we have in place because certainly if we have millions of people hungry they will revolt and with the mechanisms of a police state allready in place america will fast become a nation that isnt worth fighting for.

Obama’s Cuba Policy Could Cost Him the Election

President Barack Obama has said that unilaterally easing sanctions against the Castro regime in Cuba is an “adequate” policy supported by Cuban-Americans.

That “support,” however, is “never reflected where it counts — the ballot box,” writes Mauricio Claver-Carone, director of the U.S.-Cuba Democracy PAC and founding editor of CapitolHillCubans.com, in an opinion piece for the Miami Herald.

He points out that Obama received only about 30 percent of the Cuban-American vote during the 2008 election, “when just about every other constituency was overwhelmingly looking for ‘change’ after eight years of the Bush administration.”

“Obama won Florida by only 2.5 percent. Today, he’s treading on thin ice politically. Thus, any drop in Cuban-American support could easily cost him Florida — and given Florida’s political importance, perhaps the election.”

Obama’s political rationale regarding Cuba is based on the belief that Cuban-Americans — although they consistently vote to support candidates who favor maintaining strong sanctions against Cuba’s dictatorship — support more travel to and engagement with the island.

“Here are the facts: The Cuban-American community has never elected a candidate to federal office who has supported lifting sanctions,” Claver-Carone writes.

“In the most recent example, during the 2010 congressional race in the heavily Cuban-American 25th District of Florida, Obama’s candidate — an outspoken cheerleader for his Cuba policy — got less than 18 percent of the Cuban-American vote.”

He notes that in September, as Obama was discussing his “adequate” policy, the Castro regime arrested 563 people for political “crimes.” That’s the highest monthly number of political arrests in 30 years.

“Why does President Obama continue this policy of unilateral appeasement with the Castro brothers?” Claver-Carone says. “After all, with unemployment in Florida reported to be as high as 11 percent, it would seem that Obama and his re-election campaign don’t have much wiggle room.”

What did Obama have to work with?
Well when he entered office we were already in debt thanks to Clinton and Bush. Then congress was split. Then people were saying he is trying to turn this country into a socialist republic which it already is cause of FDRs "New Deal" back in our first depression. Then realizing that it's gonna be harder than he thought to just pull troops out of Iraq cause it's still a mess.

Then his forcing people to get health insurance and not doing an investigation into the illegal Iraqi war didn't help much, along with the spending that he thought would benefit the american people.

So let's see what happens.I just hope whoever gets elected or reelected pulls their head out of their azz and fixes the 2 party systems screw ups.
